The Muppets actually did have a stage show for about two years in DHS called "Here Come The Muppets". I believe it was shown at the very end of the (original) Studio Tour. They got rid of it when Jim Henson's Muppet*Vision 3D opened.

07-17-2008 01:02 PM #111Yes, our world has indeed become a world of motion. We have engineered marvels that take us swiftly over land and sea, through the air, and into space itself. And still bolder and better ideas are yet to come. Ideas that will fulfill our age old dream to be free. Free in mind. Free in spirit. Free to follow the distant star of our ancestors to a brighter tomorrow. - World of Motion (1982-1996)

A little off topic but I thought i let you guys/gals know. It has to do with construction updates and rumors for the resort. I could not find the thread that discussed the Muppet attraction so maybe the moderators could move it if they please.
MOD NOTE: MOVED
Seems like the presentation for Muppets replacement went very well and was received with lots of enthusiasm. Its budget approval might be getting closer to becoming reality.
Yes it is the Narnia attraction and it sounds quite interesting. It will be nothing like the DHS walkthru with props and it is not just a 3d movie. Expect it to be a themed indoor special effects show.
oh and from what i understand it is not based on Prince Caspian.
Could we see a revival of the very famous and intriguing white witch

So something along the lines of Armageddon, but less crappy and themed to Narnia? That could be interesting.

Wasn't DCA supposed to have gotten an Armaggeddon attraction around when it opened? I thought I remember Jim Hill posting a story on it back in 2001/2002 or so.

I like Narnia more than the muppets. Just seems more........magical.

I just don't see a Narnia attraction lasting more than a couple of years in popularity, if that. If the rumor is true, this is a very bad decision.
How could something like this have solid repeatability? It would be another "experience once" type of thing.

This is very interesting. I wonder if they will try to make it "movie production" themed, (or maybe a special effects demonstration that is interrupted by strange happenings and the appearance of the White Witch?), or if they'll go with the cop out answer and say "It's based on a movie, that's how it fits." To which I would say, "So? The Fantasyland darkrides, Splash Mountain, the Little Mermaid dark ride, and Cars Land are all based on movies. Does that mean they fit in HPB too?"

supposedly people will be invited to enter the soundstage to experience the production stage of Narnia in what is suppose to be a hot set.
People will visit a couple key sets of the movie including the wardrobe room into the world of Narnia
I envision something similiar to how they present the twister attraction in Universal Studios Orlando. That attraction has an outdoor queue with a couple props and then you enter a hot set which takes you into the inside of a blown out house and then out thru a themed door into the main movie set which depicts the twister scene in the movie near the drive-in theater. At that point people experience the scene via projectors, wind, water, fire and several special effects.
