Take it for what it's worth, but a recent article from the IAAPA claims that HPB will be renamed into "Hollywood Land." Excerpt here:
And the rest of the LONG article can be found here:Dubbed Buena Vista Street, the entrance will be redone in architectural styles of the era; it will feature new dining, shopping, and entertainment options, plus a re-creation of L.A.’s Red Car trolleys that will run all the way through newly renamed Hollywood Land, ending at “The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.”

Not much else in the way of new information sadly. Most of it is stuff we've already heard.

Very interesting article. I hope it's true, for Hollywood Pictures Backlot need a retheme. I just hope the name in the article was a typo and that they name it "Hollywoodland" to give homage to the original Hollywoodland sign.

^The city of Hollywood is so protective of its name, I wouldn't be surprised if Disney wasn't allowed to call it Hollywoodland.
Anybody remember the fiasco for Legoland when they had to remove their Lego Hollywood sign since they didn't get permission from the city to build it?
Rasulo buddy you ain't kidding there.Southern Californians have an incredible affinity for this product, an incredible sense of ownership.
Ugh.This enhancement of the resort happens to be at Disney’s California Adventure, but that’s more coincidence, land availability, and our desire to grow the story there than it is specifically about Disney’s California Adventure.
Good statement, actually. The history of art, in any form it takes, is one of breakthrough ideas, and trying things that are different and new. Some of those things work extraordinarily well and continue, and some of them need adjustment. We’re fortunate our product is organic, one that continues to be alive and thrive and evolve after opening.Joey AKA "dlfreak"

I like the move, seems with Hollywoodland and Carsland, the sense of actual lands like exist across the esplanade is beginning to take shape

His answers surprisingly had truth to them. I am pleased with this interview. He tells the truth and doesn't sugar coat his answers into b.s. like they have done in the past.

Hollywoodland is a historical term... I assume anyone can use it.
They changed the sign from Hollywoodland to Hollywood... so... they've sort of denied that name.
Reading through the article about 'new' stuff, he does mention DCA opening at 8am... Also, mentions a 'stunning' view from the walkway from ToT to Carsland...Pura Vida

^Noticed that too... I think with regard to park opening that that was more of a generalization. In the context of the statement it was a lofty example that I wouldn't look too deeply into.
As far as the stunning view... if you're walking from TOT to Carsland you will get a stunning view... Carsland is gonna be awesome. I imagine that's what he's talking about?Joey AKA "dlfreak"

The weird thing is I can see DCA opening earlier but I'd honestly want more hours at night as the park is best in the dark with its modern lighting and all.
The stunning view sounds awesome. I like how they say this will be an even more beautiful development then the addition of Sunset Blvd to Hollywood studios. I wasn't sure if they were talking about the unfolding in reference to the main entrance by the farm or the walkway from Tower. I can see the main entrance being plain awesome but I'm hoping the walkway from Tower gets some good decoration as it'll be a decent amount of space without many attractions or stores so I'm hoping there will at least be some decent amount of scenery. I suppose that pathway will be the Big Thunder Mountain trail of DCA

Quite a good interview.
I must say that despite what I keep reading about Rasulo online (e.g. his general disinterest in theme parks), the guy had pretty good answers about the creative direction of the new development beyond the usual flowery "dreams, magic, wishes" speak that often comes out of Disney execs. His comment about guests knowing when they've left one land and entered a new one when this is all done was also quite spot on about the problems with the initial approach vs. what they seem to be going with now. This all gives me confidence that they've thought through the creative reasons why the initial incarnation of DCA didn't work so well versus simply deciding people wanted to see more Disney characters.
I agree. Perhaps this is because I'm 28 instead of either being 8 or having young kids, but I really would prefer Disney parks adjusted their opening times by about an hour so that they closed later. A WDW vacation during a busy period involving one early morning after another can be a little hellish!
If they're going to run WOC through the year as Illuminations runs at Epcot, they could work on the model that DCA would be one hour later in opening and closing than DL. That might be a good way of getting people into the park who haven't given it a chance or who aren't familiar with all the new additions once DL closes.
