so if they started construction of buena vista street the end of this year, would they need 2 1/2 years to do construction? it seems like a very long time. it would be great if they could have it finished by christmas season 2010. that would be about 2 years from now.

2 1/2 years is an awfull long time. I would think it needs 1-1 1/2 years of construction.

It only took three years for DCA to be created. So how come it would take that long to remodel such a small section of that park?

Because building on a blank piece of land is infinitely easier than doing work around guests in an open park.

This is true. And it's even easier because there are no shrubs or trees to get in the way. Btu it still seems like a long time!

Well. Carsland is supposed to take 4 years to build. That is building from the ground up, with no real guest interference. So you have to agree, construction these days, is significantly slower than it used to be.

Just a realitcy check... you're comparing building DCA's original Boardwalk, SunShine Plaza, and Bountiful Valley Farm (among other simple/cheap structures) to Carsland... Based solely on concept art for Carsland, I can see the need for different, longer, timelines.
