I have so many questions on the construction and the new rides that I thought I have to start a new thread. My questions:
1) When will the Orange stinger and Mulhallond Madness close?
2) What is Maytor's Junkyard Jamboree be about?
3) The parachute jump will be themed to what?
Those are just off the top of my head. Answer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.![]()

Let me give it a try;
1) I thought that the Silly Symphony swings were supposed to open in spring, so I'd think the stinger would close sometime soon. I don't think any date has been set for closure though. The Maliboomer is rumored to stick around a bit longer and again, I think it's only rumored as to when it will close.
2) Mater's will be a kiddy type ride with passengers towed behind tractors. Some concepts show a track type system, and some show a spinner. The trailers behind the tractors should be able to spin in either rendition.
3) Green army men was a rumor from a long while ago. But... I don't think that the parachute ride will actually be built, at least anytime soon. The model is the only source to show the parachutes.It's kind of fun to do the impossible. - Walt Disney

Here's my try:
1) Going off of the video inside the blue sky cellar, I would say pretty soon. The video said coming soon, so thats where I get my answer. They would probably begin the retheme once the lagoon is drained, that way they can put a crain inside the lagoon and remove the orange peel easier. I'm going with Tayati on this, guessing spring 09.
2)Its basically themed around Mater and his fun with the trackers. He scares them in the movie and they go off running around like crazy until they fall over. I think Mater will just be doing this in a more musical form. The ride will be some for of a spinner. I don't think anything like the tea cups or ladybug ride, but some type of spinning will occur. Then again, its just my guess.
3) Tayati is right, it was rumored the the green ary men. However I too believe that was scrapped. I really think they scrapped the idea when Paradise pier took the victorian theme rather then the toy story fun house theme. That obviously also scrapped the orange stinger to be turned into the "green alien claw" ride. I believe the maliboomer won't be removed until Silly Symphonies and mickey's fun wheel is done. Maybe even until goofys flight school is rethemed too.Favorite Quote from CARS.....

Mater: "He did what in his cup!?"

My turn
1) i agree with the first two people that answered. The bay is being drained at the moment so it makes sense to work on it as soon as it gets drained. Lots of work needs to be done aorund the concrete structure that holds the attraction including the wooden queue and boardwalk that will be placed around it. I also remember seeing rockwork being added in some area to make the bay look a bit more realistic.
2) Mater is suppose to be a family attraction themed to Mater and the tractors in a junkyard and farm setting. The back end of the vehicle is suppose to allow a bit of a spin. it has been compared to the old fashion whiplash attraction vehicles. Most artwork show it as an attraction on a track.
3) I really doubt that the Parachutes will be built. If they do they will most likely not have the green army men theme. It almost seemed like that theme was part of an overal Toy story theme for the pier at one time which included toy story midway Mania, the green army parachutes ride, the funwheel and orange stinger themed to "the claw". Even seemed like WOC had a heavy toy story influence

A good question to ask is whether TDA, operations and WDI will take advantage that the Burger invasion is closed and just start gutting it to build the beer garden. This would prevent another closure in the future.
