I'm beginning to wonder if the results of the poll would've changed had I done it a week later. Even then, the poll is a lot more positively skewed than I was expecting.

For me, starting this summer it's gonna be like back in the '90's: trying to decide which evening shows to see, when Fantasmic or MSEP or BATB, not to mention Hunchback, might be running at the same time. Throw in WOC and the now-more elaborate fireworks shows. Plus having to cross over from one park to the other. Not to mention I love kicking back at the Cove Bar, drink in hand, listening to the kids screaming on the rides and watching the light displays, even before all these updates. I think I'm getting too old to keep up with all this.

I love the new lights. They are so beautiful!!! Much better than the old sun face.

just came back from the resort. The Mickey wheel lighting looks amazing. If you think it looks great in the video you would be amazed and stun by how awesome it looks live.

At sundown they had it in yellow lighting but then as it got darker it started do the multi color effect every so many minutes.

There are a couplesopkes that are not working as well as some areas of the outer ring.

All i could say is that people around me were stopping to take pictures and video. The Mickey wheel has officially become a show on its own and will most likely be an even bigger photo op than before.

That is oen thing i also noticed. I was eating a corndog in the area and oculd see the lights around 7pm but did not get the full effect until around 8pm when the lights really brightened up the whole area.

The food and wine events were all busy saturday and i loved what they did with the lighting in some of the areas. The winery area that is never used had lots of guests sampling wine and foods and had the most amazing lighting and decor for the event.

To compare to time period themes in Disney- There's no scrolling lights in New Orleans square, there's no neon... Mainstreet has no colored lights scrolling around, it's all classic white bulbs using time period patterns.

Sure, is the rainbow lighting pretty? Absolutely, but, it simply is not victorian nor period appropriate if they're trying to go for a turn of the century pier.

Now, this of course is all null and void if the colored lights are solely for the use of WoC, anyone know yet?
The only problem with this analogy is that you can't see the lights from Main Street at different parts of DL like you can the Mickey Wheel at DCA. The Mickey Wheel isn't just for PP. It's basically for the entire park.
