I dont know why they dont just do it during the day. I think a lot of guests would actually be excited to see mickey go up.

Problems could happen. Pieces could be improperly manufactured and misaligned. Then down goes the face, making everyone go "Boo!"

I believe that is the plan. but i bet they dont do it in the day for a number of reasons, some of them being that pieces could be ill made so they dont fit properly but another could be in the case of an accident, there would be more families and little children watching the accident occur other than just the aftermath.

No visible work on the wheel up till 12ish tonight when I left. Who knows what went on afterward though.

Plus the scaffolding is still in place, right up next to the spot where Mickey's head will be.
