Yes, you can look down on all of Screamin from the Wheel. We would go up on the stable cars and take pictures of all the changes to the pier, until it went down recently. I really miss doing that and am looking forward to it being up again soon!

Well this makes perfect sense as my last day at DLR is the 7th. Hopefully it at least looks ready as I´m not really that fussed about riding it, but it would be nice to look at it in its new finished state!

lots of great pictures on Miceage

    http://micechat.com/forums/disneylan...r-iii-126.html

the face is going up during park hours piece by piece. Also more of the amphitheater retaining wall gone. Seems like it is all coming down to the level of the left side and then will be rebuilt all at one level from east to west.

pictures of the midway games and cms training and here it comes

the one thing that everyone has been waiting for

the dark red and black metal supports for the Mickey funwheel queue area seem to be unsite and the queue should start getting some of its work done soon

Those red and black metal pieces could also be for the lights on the wheel.

I wouldn't be surprized if there's a soft openning on the 7th. You could get lucky, swing by at some point in the day and see if there are any CM's at the entry and they'll usually let you know if there are plans to open it at some point that day.

Is that even the same crane?

It seems to have some kind of truss structure that I couldn't see on the MR CRANE in Darkbeer's photos.

I think you're right. They look like a kind of track type of system to run the wiring through and connect the lights at each of the little holes.
