It's kind of ironic that the pie-eyes aren't actually in the old cartoon title graphic, but we associate pie-eyes with old mickey, so they're used on the Wheel.
Looks really great!

I really like it, a lot more than I thought I would with it being 2D. After I saw the pics I started thinking about how some were thinking a 3D Mickey might wink or even talk for WoC, and then Al had those rumors a long while back about the face hiding lasers and effects, and I've decided I like 2D much better than a giant talking, winking Mickey, with lasers shooting out of his eyes.

Thanks Mint!
Looks wonderful! The first thought I had was how much this is going to draw people into the pier as it is just so colourful and fun. Can´t wait to see it all come together and the lagoon filled once more. I´m sure they can get that all done by early May when I pop in...

^I don't know, I still think the sun face could have found a new home on the California Screamin' sun. Anyone more Photoshop inclined than I am want to see what it might look like?
Yes, our world has indeed become a world of motion. We have engineered marvels that take us swiftly over land and sea, through the air, and into space itself. And still bolder and better ideas are yet to come. Ideas that will fulfill our age old dream to be free. Free in mind. Free in spirit. Free to follow the distant star of our ancestors to a brighter tomorrow. - World of Motion (1982-1996)

I like both images. Mickey is sure to make most people smile- which many did not do upon the first sighting of Paradise Pier 1.0!

By the way, thanks for the photos! The pic with Mickey and Maliboomer now just emphasizes how ugly the Maliboomer is- really ugly!

Question that probably no one knows an answer to.
Why aren't there twice as many 'regular' cabins on the circumference of the wheel? The spaces used for the regular cabins seem to be the same as the blank spaces that exist every other space.. so why not twice as many cabins?
Back when it was open was the line long for the regular cabins?
