Apparently the attraction was open to guests today.
I agree that the paint job is a significant upgrade, but I think this redo was a real missed opportunity.

Shameless plug, but this week's poll is relevant for anyone interested.

although i was ok with them holding off on the covered queue i am really disapointed that they did nothing to cover up the maintenance shack and tool boxes as well as other visible equipment in the queue.
One of the tool boxes even has the old Sunwheel name in huge letters.

^^It adds to the realism of a real working carnival....just many layers in a detailed story. Wow, Disney, wow.

I think even a detailed paint job on them would have worked.

So let me get this straight. You would rather have have that ugly ferris wheel that does not go with the new way the pier is going with the ugliest gondalas and an ugly face instead of the better matching Fun Wheel and goes much better with the rest of the pier. It's not like they downgraded the wheel. They just didn't do everything that they could've done.

I'll take the awesome new LED lighting over the old craptacular carnival lights any day.

I'd rather they flatten the damn thing. It's garish and unimaginative.
