but how would you get the queue to go into the helix? there's not too much room to move around in there...
I have studied the area a few times during my visits and found a couple possibilities.

The entrance to the queue is pretty easy. There is already a double gate that allows access to the inside of the helix. This gate is located between the photobooth and the restroom area. A nice marquee with a small structure could be placed in front of it and the coasters helix would create a nice backdrop.

once inside the helix the queue would wrap around the area and eventually end right behind the loading area where the exit and queue overpass is. At that point there is enough room underneath the tracks to open up a covered walkway under the track and leading to the old fastpass and standby merge point.

The exit would stay the same but with a minor adjustment so that it passes over the covered queue area.

If they do plan on keeping this ride then for gosh sakes make it look semi decent...with all the rides on the pier getting the facelift minus the Jelllyfish which is fine imo...then the Maliboomer will look even more out of place then it already does. I was thinking about what the could theme those huge towers to in order to just look nice and I had a few ideas about just dressing them up and painting them like some victorian towers you would see on piers but my favorite look, even with the new pier, has to be the palm trees, the original idea for them. It still fits and imo looks a hella lot better.

I've also looked at this before and I agree it seems workable. I really like this idea, it would be a much better location for everything in the Screamin' area and if the Jellyfish and Zephyrs and MM were moved or removed and the parade route redone you could free up a huge attraction plot with that area.

The more the re-theming of PP becomes reality, the more this ugly thing stands out... I really hope they get rid of it

I want it to be replaced too but whatever goes in its place needs to have a lot of height to it. I think it would look kind of strange if they just took it out and didn't replace it with anything besides landscaping

Agreed DV, but the ring the bell idea, which this was supposed to imitate, was in the seaside parks in the era they are changing to. What I think they need is a redo.
make the colors softer........really show lines that the chairs reach, put in an audioanimtronic that sets the chairs of by hitting the post that makes the ride go up like the ringer did to ring the bell. You could even have the bell on top go off every once in a while as if the strong man had finally hit it hard enough to ring the bell. It seems that this would be much cheeper than taking the ride out and putting another in.

I have a brilliant idea, take off all the banners, paint the building read, make the cars look like parachutes, had new color changing lighting (and for the supports on screamin), and the top could have a look similar to the top of the Coney Island Parachute Drop ride. It would new name and station, maybe some attraction poster that would draw people in, and maybe figure out how to have an onride photo near the top.

considering camino asked how would we retheme the attraction (and most everyone is talking up a removal, which wasn't the point of this thread...), i liked the idea of a parachute drop, but instead of theming it to the green men from toy story why not to the old donald duck military films? i'll have to investigate some more to see what rethemes could possibly work...

but as for a maliboomer type of attraction just rethemed, could the big bad wolf and the three little pigs work? maybe the big bad wolf could "blow" the riders up... there are three towers so maybe they could theme each to one of the three little pigs.
