I by no means want to sound like I am not saddened and concerned for the victims and families. I have been trying to decide if we should go this Sunday or Monday. I still have not decided. Any idea how this tragedy will impact the rest of the park? I assume BT will be closed for quite a while. Are the rides around it going to remain closed? I assume the park will continue to operate. Any thoughts? I will be with my husband and almost 2 and 4 year olds.

The Park will operate as normal minus Big Thunder. I would go on Sunday rather than Monday because there are a few other attractions that go down for rehab on Monday such as Mansion and Tarzan's Treehouse.

im really depressed now, im mean just to think whut if that was me i would be freaking crying right now , specially if i was there
, but not being in a mean way, does this mean Big Thunder would prolly get a huge refurbishment to get the thing out of the news , so passengers would feel safe again
p.s. actually i was sad when i first heard it earlier this afternoon, just dint want to respond..Pepsi

If you feel like that drinksumpepsi look at the next fatal car crash and think the same thing. You would never stop thinking. Death at Disney is one of the worst thoughts though.

If you wanna hear another depressing thing that hapened yesterday in Poway here in SD sumthing happened again , that I just hear from my teacher today. A boy was running his cross country comnpetition, then he heard his father call him. He stopped looked back and his dad shot him, and the whole audience and school went into lock down and this long story happened. It had sumthing to do with child issues coz of divorcement

I never enjoy depressing stories. It's just how this has got people worried about being on the ride or rides. This is horrible don't get me wrong but I would be first on it when it's fixed if I could.

Thanks guys! It is just so sad. I was planning on taking my 3 year old on BTMRR since she is tall enough. That could have been anyone of us. A sad day for sure.

Death is a normal thing. This country, and many others are the most afraid of it. Some choose to embrace this circle of life, and the rules of death are meant to apply.
