Post Update from this weekend! (Plus some answers!)

Maybe this will answer some popular questions!!!

Bricks-We noticed our brick wasn't down yet, so we asked what was going on. The woman at the Info Booth said they have to lay down a whole section of the bricks at the same time, and it takes a lot of work, so they're waiting to do as many as possible at one time. She said if you bought your brick before October, they're hoping to lay them in by Christmas. As a side note: If you bought any small wooden replicas they will(most likely) be sent to you after your brick is down. If anyone has any questions on the bricks, I kept a pamphlet today and I will gladly answer the questions that I can!

APs-They WILL pro-rate your current AP with this nifty chart they have. They do it by the month. Basically, if I bought a 2-Park AP right now, my current Premium DL AP expires in May and will get me a $110 credit towards the 2-P AP. She said if you buy a
ticket and go immediately to get an AP, they won't credit that day's admission (which is
what they do in DL right now). NOTE: The woman basically gave us a verbal disclaimer
that a month ago there weren't going to BE any 2-Park APs, so over the next 2 months,
things may change again (you might get more for your money, who knows?).

Monorail&DCA-It resumed round trip this morning!!!! Oh my gosh it was awesome!!! We rode over the Golden Gate Bridge, saw the Backlots, saw inside a couple of the shops,
saw current construction almost EVERYWHERE! Grizzly is VERY well done! The theming is
wonderful and fairly detailed throughout the area. Grand Californian looks amazing too!
So does Rainforest Cafe! All of the plants they are using are perfect throughout the
park, you can see all of the detail going into it. It's absolutely amazing to ride the
    monorail right now!!

Christmas!-The Christmas stuff was soooooo much fun! We've seen the parade, but
we still loved it! The holiday-edition ice cream from the Nestle Ice Cream shop was
super yummy!!! The best peppermint stick I've ever had. Then we watched the fireworks! I loved them so much, the music is great, they're choreographed perfectly! AND THE SNOW was sooooo cool. It was on for such a long time and everyone was having the most wonderful time! Way to go DL!!!

FastPass-Haunted Mansion was THE best theming we've seen in ANY FastPass area. It
hasn't been necessary yet, but go check it out just for the aesthetics!!! Thunder
Mountain is pretty well done, the new Splash area is MUCH better.

Big Thunder-It was awesome! We haven't been on it since they updated it and I loved
    it!!! Yay!

Frontierland-We noticed the pavement... very creative, very well themed, way cool addition (hopefully they do more to that calibur in that area).

Great trip report! Sounds like you and your family had a wonderful time and it makes me sad that I can't go as often.

Great info, I love to hear about the park second only to going there! It does make sense about the bricks.

Our family will be going to DL for a day or so right around Christmas day!!! Woo Hoo, we are so excited. I have never been there on Christmas. We can't wait to check out all the stuff you mentioned in your post. What are we most looking forward to? Just being there in DL again, the roundtrip monorail ride (yeah), and holiday decorations. Oh, did I forget to mention the parade, fireworks, and snow???? I am going to start counting down the days on our calendar!

    Cool

    Wonderful Report,

I am sad that I have to miss the X-mas celebration this year. There will be many years to come though.

I think the monorail photos from inside the park look great. I wish I could experience it. I guess being able to be away from the park for a few months may be good though. I will be even more pleased when I get to return.
