Every time I go to Disneyland I pass by the empty Big Thunder Ranch, just sitting there doing nothing. I don't know how much land there is in that area, but something should be done. What about a new land that has to do with the Villains and Halloween Town from "Nightmare Before Christmas"? The land's entrance would be close to the entrance of Casy Jr. Its centerpiece attraction would be Villain Mountain, a new water coaster featuring the Disney Villains. Villain Mountain could also hold have a small walk through attraction based on the Dragon's Lair in Disneyland Paris. The land would also include a dark ride based on "Sleepy Hollow", this ride would have guests ride in carts pulled by an animatronic horse through many scenes telling the story. The car would speed up or slow down depending on how the horse reacts to its surroundings. The land would feature a small theater, built to look like the town hall in "Nightmare", where it would show Oogie Boogie's Boo-Lesque Review. These are just my ideas, and I know I got carried away. What would you do to the empty Big Thunder Ranch?

Not that much room there. That area is usually used for private parties though.
Seth Cohen: It was a liitle weird. And not like kinky weird, more like akward. But hey, you know what? It was my first time, she's a more experienced woman, that's to be expected. But I did make some faces in the middle that I wish I could take back but I can't and there was also a sort of whiny noise that came out at the end that probaly wasn't my finest hour and...I sucked so bad! I was like a fish flopping around on dry land. I was Nemo and I just wanted to go home.

Re: What To Do With Big Thunder Ranch...
dark ride doesn't have enough promise to justify it's ride system I don't think but who knows I doubt that there's enough room there to build another land which is basicaly what your suggesting
also it's been brought up before that building villian mountain to close to splash would probably lessen the appeal of both of them

Re: What To Do With Big Thunder Ranch...
In some of the original plans for dark rides at MK in WDW, one of the concepts included a Sleepy Hollow ride in Fantasyland, as well as a Mary Poppins ride ( a la Peter Pan). There is a bit of room back there, but one has to take into account that the ranch is right along the berm. They could expand the berm to accomodate, or make the Villain Mountain part of the berm like Splash. However the M 19 parade building, Maintenance warehouses, and the Parade Storage Warehouse all sit within 15 yards of the back of the berm, if even that.

Re: What To Do With Big Thunder Ranch...
I'd like to see either an extension of frontierland and have a ride with a frontier theme or maybe a Liberty Square area with a patriotic theme, but have a ride based on tall tales like Paul Bunyon and others.
