The Good:
Grizzly peak Area/Grand Californian: Had this area been dropped back behind critter country in Disneyland, nobody would have complained. It is brilliantly themed, and an awesome ride. They could have added a few AA's, but then again, There were no AA"s on the Matterhorn when it first opened either.
Pacific Wharf: Looks and feels like Monterey, when they add an attraction this will be one of my favorite spots in the park. The food there is already awesome.
Hollywood Pictures Backlot: Those of you who do not feel like this works as a backlot, need to visit a backlot. They pretty much consist of soundstages, and theatres to view and edit. Tower/Animation/Hyperion/Muppets/millionaire make it solid. There is a solid themed attraction, a kinetic behind the scenes experience, an awesome show, a 3d movie about making movies, and a "television show" that you are a part of. It really is a great experience. Rock n' rollercoaster or the great movie ride would be a greta complement to this area.

And the Sunshine Plaza, which isn't part of the Golden State either.

Re: The Good And Bad of DCA
hey stay on topic. and magic mountain doesn't suck, it has some of the best most revolutionary rollercoasters ever built. and a crazy number of them too. i mean its not a great theme park. but you can have alot of fun there if you are into thrills. and they try more at theme than most other thrill parks. its one of the best in nation if not the world. if one of their ride's closes you're going to have alot of other things to do. and its better that you weren't on a ride that needs some mechanical attention. If anything i think Magic Mountain gives me a better day than DCA.
drop it like its hot, yeahh

Re: The Good And Bad of DCA
there are some things I'm ok DL not getting
Mission Space doesn't strike me as being that great
and I dunno about expedition everst sides the resort already has the Matterhorn which no other park has
there are deff alot of small fixes that would make DCA seem more complete
and the diff between MK and DL are arguable but I perfer Disneylands layout Haunted Mansions facade is the best in DL and I just enjoy the whole New Orleans square area something about the diversity of the park that makes it better even if it is all squished together it's squished with alotta style
I would like to see them tone down some of the show/parade type stuff at DL and set up more stuff in DCA to balance things out more evenly especialy since DCA has the larger walkways and all

Re: The Good And Bad of DCA
Too bad they don't really understand how to operate them efficiently.
it has some of the best most revolutionary rollercoasters ever built. and a crazy number of them too.
If they're going to constantly close down so many rides at a time, they should have their Roller Coaster record taken away.if one of their ride's closes you're going to have alot of other things to do.
Hopefully they'll fix things in 2004.Just here. Nowhere.
