I just got back from WDW and went on the Aerosmith Rockin Roller Coaster for the first time and loved it!! I had heard rumours that they might bring it to DCA. Does anyone know if there is any truth to this?

Re: Rockin Roller Coaster in DCA?
I'm sure there was talk about it, but it sounds like it's a dead idea now.

Re: Rockin Roller Coaster in DCA?
There have been various discussions over the ages on here regarding that. I'm not sure whether it's rumor or not. I wouldn't mind it coming (although many will disagree, saying it's a clone). Whatever. I loved it, thought it was a great ride!!! Yes, three !!! worth of greatness.
Side note. When we went, the Baja Men (who let the dogs out) were outside singing. Quite trashtastic!MouseInfo Moderator

Re: Rockin Roller Coaster in DCA?
I dont understand what is so bad about a clone? We have lots of clones with WDW: Haunted Mansion, Pirates, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Rockets, Small World, Snow WHite, Peter Pan etc..................
After going to WDW for the first time, I really feel like the red-headed step child here in California with our DL. They have so much more than we do. I did notice that some of our stuff is better than theirs also, but honestly they have so much more and it's upsetting.

Re: Rockin Roller Coaster in DCA?
basically from what michael has said (and we really do trust him)
the RRC is NOT comming to DCA in any way shape or form.
of course all things are subject to change, but as for the current "drawing board", it's not on there.

Re: Rockin Roller Coaster in DCA?
Well I am not at all surprised. I am getting used to not getting any of the good stuff from WDW.

Re: Rockin Roller Coaster in DCA?
We love WDW too, and they do have many more things, but there's one thing you have to understand. WDW has more room, more space to build than DLR will ever have. That's why Walt bought the FL property, he never wanted to be limited by space the way he was in CA. Sure Disney can buy a parcel here and there, but they'll NEVER have the room they have in FL. Agreed, Rock'n is an excellent ride, very well themed, but it's also very big. Fitting it in DCA would take up quite a bit of valuable space.

Even though I didn't like RNRC, I would go on it if it went to DCA(same case with ToT).
BTW, Baha men.

Re: Rockin Roller Coaster in DCA?
I did not like the ride. It gave me a headache, and was midly entertaining. I love coasters, and esp. love launched coasters. This one was a great attempt (very well themed, up until the actual ride) but not my fave.
And Going off what DF62 said, space is at a premium here. We just cant get as much as WDW. With that in mind, the stuff we do get, I would hope to be fresh, origional, and of the top most quality.Oh Alias, how I loved thee. I will miss you Sydney Bristow!

Re: Rockin Roller Coaster in DCA?
They can easily fit the coaster in DCA if they got rid of the crap they have there and there is a lot of crap there!
