I wonder what the operating cost for the park is for a year?

I read somewhere (though its probably not true) back before DCA was built that three days of Disneyland gate reciepts (addmissions) was enough money to pay for staffing for the whole park for a whole year...

I agree it would be neat to own the place.

hehe, Disneyland would likely go to hell in a handbasket if I were to take over, hehe... I'd be well intentioned but have no idea what would be needed to run a theme park as fantastic as Disneyland

I don't think Disney would ever sell the parks... unless they were in the ::cough:: Six Flags ::cough:: financial position/losing money on the parks.

alas my dreams for owning Disneyland are gone but I have new plans yes I shall one day be so rich that I will build a greater park!!!! and then spread rumors so that when I die people will think I haunt my parks castle then I'll make a creapy animatronic head that peaks outta one of the windows and glares at people every couple weeks or so

lol, as a kid i used to design my own parks... they were really cool, hehe I had a Jungle Cruise inspidred ride but with Dinosaurs... unfortunately Jurrasic Park has come along and sort of taken that idea... my idea was more Jungle Cruise though... hehe its funny I copied scenes directly from the attraction... instead of a Rhino poking people up a poll it was a triceratops, etc.

Roller coasters all over the place... It's funny the layout of the park was inspired by Mario World for Super Nintendo... the park wasn't themed to Mario, just the layout of the park was based the map layout... although each land in my park had a different king or queen and the names were similar to the names of each of Bowsers kids that had castles in each land... hehe... oh wow way off topic...

Id totaly build my Lion King ride if I owned Disneyland, hehe

I have a jetski, and I have figured if I win the lottery, I can build my own Rivers of america. I would be able to go riding day or night. I would even have a few jumps built in it, and a bridge or two. I would have a waterfall, and a pool buit in a place where the waterfall is located.

If I owned Disneyland.....I'd build a little fort in Tarzan's Treehouse and live there. I'd find some way to expand Adventureland without taking away from the rest of the park, maybe build underground or something. I know it's not possible, but if I had a billion dollars to throw around and buy Disneyland with i'd have to have some cash lying around somewhere =)

And I'd never go on any of the rides alone.....creeeeeeepy. Especially pirates, don't let me start that story. =)

do they really close the park to the public like that? damn, that would suck for out of towners who have only day in their life to go to the park and to find that some over paid actor or music artist (that's all of them) had to rent it that day

that reminds me... remember those movies where something happens, the majority of the people vanish, and those who remain are left in a ghost town like surrounding? see where I'm going?
