Recently in MousePlanet, there was another story on moving the AP processing center to DCA by David Koenig on Wednesday, February 11, 2004
>>The Resort is again giving thought to relocating the Annual Pass processing center from Disneyland to Disney's California Adventure. The most likely spot would be one of the buildings directly across from Golden Dreams.
Talk is that the current AP processing center (the former Plaza Pavilion) would be converted back into a restaurant.<<
I know when this was originally reported by Al Lutz, it was completely ridiculed (and still is). Yet this story wouldn't die.
What other stories won't die?
Submarines coming back?
SuperStar Limo coming back or getting changed?
Give me your best rumors.

Re: The Story That Wouldn't Die
Well, since either one or the other has to happen eventually, this isn't really a prediction.

Who says? There is no guarantee that SuperStar Limo will come back. It is STILL a rumor. Nothing else. It's the story that won't go away.

BTW, the topic is the story that wouldn't die. NOT what's the possibility that a prediction will come true.
SuperStar Limo has been closed for over two years. It's been rumored to open or changed out. Nothing happened despite rumors that something will happen. Therefore, it's the story that wouldn't die.
Another story that wouldn't die is DCA will get an EXTREME MAKEOVER Home Edition. Just kidding. I'm starting the rumor.
BTW, if you want to nominate DCA. Here's the application.
I think DCA has a compelling story... Rejected at birth. DCA needs a last chance for survival. I can't wait for DCA to be selected.ABC's 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition' accepting applications

Does your home need some attention? Do you have a compelling story? If so ABC might be interested in having your home and family star in an upcoming episode of their new Extreme Makeover: Home Edition series.

Re: The Story That Wouldn't Die
I don't even think it's not even in the Plaza Pavilion anymore. Last time I was there, the had a queue set up at the Kodak shop on Main Street. Maybe they're moving it there. Anyway, I don't really remember Plaza Pavilion. Was it sort of like Plaza Inn?

And by all accounts it should be. The story from Mouseplanet just furthers the inaccuracy of the Miceage story. I believe Miceage said that the AP Processing Center was moving to Engine-Ears Toys. Not only did that not happen within the timeline stated (quite matter-of-factly) by Miceage, but the new rumor from Mouseplanet lists a completely different location.

Re: The Story That Wouldn't Die
It may go to DCA so the story has legs. The AP location in DCA is the story.
The fact that they are thinking about moving the AP location is very indicative of DCA's sorry state.
When you think about it, the AP Processing Center will perhaps be the only busy location in DCA.

Oh, this thread is about APs. For some reason, the title of the thread made me think it was about AIDA.
My mistake.

Re: The Story That Wouldn't Die
Who cares if the ap center gets moved?I hope they move it to dca.I don't see the purpose of having it in a park anyway. I would move it outside into guest relations.
