we're going to the DL resort this winter vacation (yay) and i had a few questions about DCA since it will be our first time there.....
1. Is one day enough to see the whole park if we really move our butts?
2. When does the electrical parade show?
3. What day is the attendance not too high?
4. How much would you be spending for a whole day there besides the enterence fee?
5. Are any of the fancy and expensive disney hotels worth the stay?
thanks sooo much, I get to plan this trip and I need all the help I can get!

a few questions

Hi Disneygurl, here are my ansers to your questions.
1) One day is not enough to see it all, but enough to see most of DCA. You will certainly get all the big E ticket rides in, but you will not see every show and attraction. I have been about 25 times now, and just rode King Tritan for the first time. I have yet to see Goofy's show in Hollywood.
2) If you are going this winter, make sure the Electrical parade is playing. We don't know exactly when it will shut down, but a new lagoon holiday show is taking it's place. I would doubt there is an Electrical parade this winter.
3) Attendance will probably not be a problem in Winter, but Monday and Tuesday will probably be least crowded. After all those are the days Walt kept the park closed in the old days.
4) Besides the entrance fee, your major spending will be food. I take two approaches. If money is not a problem DCA has some fine dining, try Soap Opera Bistro, or Avalon Cove. If money is a factor, but enough can go around, eat at a more fast food type place. Taste Pilots Grill has good burgers. If you absolutely must save as much as possible (as I do a few times) just leave the resort, there is fine dining at much more reasonable prices across Harbor. They have an IHOP, a Denny's, and a real good Pizza place! Also across from Paraidise Pier Hotel is a Coco's. I save a bundle when I just take those few steps outside the resort, usually eat better, and still get back inside the resort within an hour.
5) The Disney hotels are worth the stay. My stay at Grand Californian was wonderful, but I will probably never do it again. Very very fun, but also very expensive, and the other hotels are just as nice inside the room. My favorite is Paradise Pier Hotel, you get a better view of all of DCA. and it's the most reasonable hotel. The glass elevator is a lot of fun.
It's all prefrence and opinion of course, so I hope you have a great time!Darren
