I was not referring to people on this board, but the people KNRG was referring to. He said:"Being "patriotic" daily would alienate some, not only from other countries, but also from our own who feel such an act is "fanatical" so in order to stay neutral they avoid the subject all together except on the patriotic holidays." My response to the kind of people in our country who hate it, or are paranoid towards Disney for having that finale, is "screw you." As far as I can tell, nobody on the board has that attitude, and I was not quoting anyone here who has said that. KNRG claims that Disney should change because of the conspiracy theorists and unpatriotic jerks, and those are the people I am referring to, not anyone here.

No big loss for Believe: There are Roman Candles in the Air. I liked the old show with giant fireworks, Jack Wagner, and Stars and Stripes Forever. To me it was more entertaining than the current saccharine show that forces the audience to take in the "magic".

Well I must say that I have never seen fireworks at Disneyland that I did not enjoy. I DO believe it (along with other things) conveys the idea of MAGIC. I stay for the fireworks anytime they are showing. It just sort of crowns my day. The idea that they will enhance on the Tinkerbell portion, to emphasize the way she opened the Disneyland TV program. will be especially fun for those in the crowd that remember that era. So GO DISNEY! I hope it is as good as you imply.

The only thing that I really look forward to would be a larger amount of fireworks, and the projection thingy on the castle. Everything else will probably be the same old stuff, with a little freak kid saying "I wish I could never leave this magical place." Grrr, that kid makes me want to strangle someone.

Do you know what I have to say to anyone who thinks a patriotic finale is fanatical? "Screw you." That's what I have to say to the person. If "you"(Not you, KNRG, just "you" in general) are living this country, you should like it, and if you don't, and you think everyone is out to get you, then move to Canada. They might as well stop raising and lowering the flag in Town Square with your attitude.

Who cares what some paranoid freaks think? It was a patriotic thing, and anybody who thinks it's Disney's hidden Pro-Bush agenda or whatever the bad thing of the day is can just take their thoughts and stick them where the sun don't shine.

If you like you could also call me unpatriotic but i don't think that a park where people go to escape reality we need to be constinantly reminded about who and where we live. Well, Disney for years had the patriotic finale at the end of the fireworks, so this is a "grabbing for the past" situation. They sure as heck didn't stay neutral during 1976 with America on Parade. My favorite visual from then is Hirohito, sitting and clapping along with the parade. I wonder if that was worse than Nagasaki?
