Exclamation Schedule Changes on 4th of July: Fantasmic! & Fireworks

    Good Morning Everyone,

I just received a call from the DL Resort informing me of the following show time changes for July 4th:

There will be 2 fireworks shows:
    one at 8:45pm
    one at 10:15pm

The first Fantasmic! show of the evening will begin at 9:50pm NOT 9:00pm. This affects the time of the 2nd show as well.

The reason I was notifed is because I have purchased premium viewing seats for the first Fantasmic! show at 9:00pm. We do this every year becaues it's so fun to watch Fantasmic! there, and be able to remain seated in the same place to catch the fireworks immediately after. (The fireworks on the 4th are awesome!). The CM stated that they were calling everyone who had purchased seats for all Fantasmic! shows to find out if they wanted refunds since the times have changed. I explained to her that my only concern was whether or not there would be a fireworks show immediately after. She then placed me on hold and returned to tell me that there would be TWO fireworks shows that night. I asked if she knew why there was a second show and if it would be identical to the first and she said although she isn't 100% positive - she is "pretty sure both shows are the same". She also stated she has no idea why they are doing this.

I checked the calendar at Disneyland.com and it states that the schedule for July 4th is currently not available. They must be getting ready to tweak everything.

Anyways, just thought I'd let you guys know in case you have plans to make it out there....

As always though - keep on eye on the site's actual calendar because even the info they gave me could change!!

This has actually been on the official website for quite a few weeks now. Just go to www.disneyland.com and pick the July 4th date.

Nothing is really being changed on the website, actually the times for ALL the shows for everyday (including today) are gone right now... looks like a tech. problem with the site or something. The second fireworks show will be a special "America" themed July 4th type show, the first one will be the normal IFITS show.

    Hi Wes!

I know for a fact when I booked the Fantasmic! seating on June 4th the first showing was at 9pm and the fireworks were to follow immediately afterwards. I had not noticed that the times had changed on the website, but then again I stopped checking the calendar after the first or second week of June. It's definitely for sure now though - since Disney is taking the time to call people and offer REFUNDS! earseek LOL!! You know Disney is never interested in parting with any $$$.

Aw, I'm kind of bummed that it's 2 different shows . I have always enjoyed the "extended" fireworks show on the 4th of July. (An extra set of "America" themed fireworks after "Believe".) Especially since we don't have to move from we are.

I wonder if they had to change everything this year due to the "Imagine" show????

Ohh ok I understand what you mean now, I mis-read your first post and didn't relize you booked seats for F! and then the times changed after that.

I also don't really know why they are having a the July 4th show a couple of hours after the first Imagine show, unless like you said it has something to do with the new show. Or maybe the new things they use for the fireworks themself have to be reset?

Could be something new they want to try with guest control to. Oh well, I just hope the July 4th fireworks are worth it since I'll be waiting for quite a while with the thounsands of other people smashed together on Main Street.

LOL!!! Yeah this little change kind of threw a monkey wrench in my schedule. I guess I will be packed into Main Street for the fireworks show at 8:45pm, and will then force my way to New Orleans SQ to go do the Fantasmic! thing. Or I may just watch the first fireworks show from New Orleans Sq just to avoid the hassle.

Don't know yet - but either way I'll probably be eating churro!!

HAVE A HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!
