Don't know if it was just my meal that day, but I was not impressed with the food. The atmosphere was great but didn't make up for my cooked to death fish! We live beside the ocean and do a lot of fishing so maybe I'm biased? I've been to the one in the south coast plaza (california) and one up here in Vancouver Canada. The drinks on the other hand are awesome!! I think I will save my meals for some of the other awesome looking places (like woolfgang pucks at avalon cove) and just have a drink at the rainforest.

This place is excellent! I used to go to the one where I live 2 times a month before it closed down (the mall wasn't doing well, even though the restaurant was) It was always wonderful. It made me think of Disney. I guess that's why I always went there. The Pie of the Viper pizza for breakfast was excellent, as well as the pot roast. You MUST try the banana coconut bread pudding and the chocolate diablo dessert. TO DIE FOR!! I only wish I was coming a little later to DL so I could have it there. Oh well.

    Shorty,

I am not a huge fan of sea foods in many restaurants I have been to outside of the East Coast. So I know what you mean. I am hoping I find some decent places out there! I spent my life claming, crabing, and fishing...so I am relly picky when it comes to sea food.

Hey Jennifer! I'm up here in BC Canada, we live about 3 blocks from the ocean in a little fishing and logging community. We have our own crab and prawn traps, and do lots of fishing. We have been consistently disapointed in the seafood served at restaurants. When you're used to eating it within a couple of hours of catching it, their idea of "fresh" is pretty different!! Even locally, some of the restaurants keep stuff just a little too long, and you can sure tell!! There is a chicken burger at the Rainforest that my girls get when we go there. It's the only thing they get and are always happy with it. I think I'll give that a try next time because it's such a cool place to eat, it would be a shame to miss it!!

    Cool

I know what you mean. Living in Rhode Island (nicknamed the Ocean State)! There is nothing like a clam boil after a day of claming.
