Pixar's "Cars" @ DCA ?

Route 66 at DCA has been a eyesore at DCA since the opening,we've all had our "wish lists" as to what we would like to see this area eventually become.Most of us think that an extension of the San Francisco area would be great,others have had other ideas.

with that said,I was thinking about it,and realized that Pixar is releasing a movie on cars called "Cars" in 2005,since route 66 is already themed to road side "sights",do you guys think its likely we will see a "Cars" attraction where Route 66 currently is? maybe this is why the area hasnt been bulldozed yet?

post your thoughts on the likelihood of this happening.In my opinion anything but the current Route 66 is great.

That is a good idea. I got how golden zephr and jumoin jellyfish fit in the area. If they were to do it do you think they would rename Muholland Madness to Cars or something like that. I really think they should have called Muholland Madness Route 66 in the first place since thats the theme of the area.

Disney has a contract with Chevron for Autopia already to use the Techron cars...so I dont think they are able to do any overlays with other cars yet..

Shouldn't we wait to see how cars fairs in the theaters before we discuss overlays?I'd rather see a new original ride.

Hey Nemo! I think I heard somewhere that "Route 66" was the original working title for cars. So maybe it'd work.

But I think I'd agree with davey "dainty hands" jones! No need to tie everything into a movie. Let's get some original rides in there. (Nice avatar Davey!)

I agree with that assessment,I think there is way too much Pixar in DCA,but seeing how Pixar crazy the parks have been lately,and seeing that this one certain area is based on route 66,Its only a matter of time before Pixars "cars" makes its way to this area of DCA.

personally,Id be against it,I guess anything is better then what is in that area right now,but Id still rather see something different.I am in the camp that thinks they should extend the San Fran area.

What exactly in DCA is Pixar related? Bugs Land. Anything else? If not I dont think thats too much.

Where can I find more info on Cars....whats the movie about?
