actualy I stated a couple posts up (before people started to complain about clones and crud) that neither Monsters Inc or a Muppet Land would really fit the backlot themeOriginally Posted by MrGq
and it's already been said that the buildings will remain seperate so that's the idea that I'm building on
I personaly would perfer that if they DID do a Monsters Inc ride that it'd be located in a show building behind were my Rockin Roller Coaster idea would be placed and in the LA area
I'll see if I can't post an aerial map I've got of DCA (I've edited in the ToT and Bug's Land areas from a more recent satilite image) then I'll outline my area's and how it'd all fit together so ingeniously cohesivly![]()

Re: Aerosmith Rockin Roller Coaster should be put in Hollywood Backlot
I would actually be against Rock N Roller Coaster, and I LOVED that ride. The reason is simple: We already have a launched roller coaster at DCA, and although they are two different experiences, I would MUCH prefer something mindblowing to just another clone, especially when we already have a launched roller coaster. And don't pull a ToT/Maliboomer Parallel on me....

my idea would be taking the Paris Space Mountain track or creating an origional track but using a similar building design for it then taking alot of ideas that were origionaly from SSL creating an awsome Hybrid
I'm almost done with my art crud it's mostly lousy but I'll be ready to type up a couple paragraphs tomorrow and post one art thing and one satilite map thing hopefully

I like RnRC, but it isn't a timeless concept like pirates, Indy, Tower, Splash, haunted Mansion, Bug Thunder. In 20 years it will be dated.

Ahhhh..... Reading between the lines on these internet sites, I'm thinking that some sort of Muppet Land might REPLACE much of the Hollywood Back Lot area, not just inhabit it. Also, if you wanted to recoup your recent massive Muppet investment by using them in DCA, you could theme a ride to the original Muppet Movie which, after all featured the Muppets making their way across the country to reach, you guessed it, Hollywood.

And the muppet show was all about them making a show. They took the viewer backstage etc. IMO they are a great fit. They are better than RnRc or Monster's Inc.

true but with the right construction all that will need to be changed is the music

I can see how a Muppet Movie ride WOULD do alright I suppose but I don't want a Muppet LAND I'm really against these one character lands and the Muppets have yet to prove their strength for the modern age
and I really don't want two or three muppet themed rides all next to each other I like more viriety and not feel like the one ride I'm on is the sequal to the ride I just got off of
anywho Muppet land is rumor as far as I'm concerned until I hear something more official rather then fans reading Jim Hill's article about a ride that was never built
you guys should read his article about what ToT was supposed to be before they added Twilight Zone I swear MGM was going to be the most hilarious place on earth

Re: Aerosmith Rockin Roller Coaster should be put in Hollywood Backlot
Don't get me wrong, as much as I love the Muppets, there were from MY childhood and I am quite aware that the brand has not been maintained all that well in recent years. I can't say that I even LIKE the idea of a Muppet Land portion of the park as I'm pretty darn skeptical that it wouldn't tarnish these characters. THAT SAID..............
Disney did not buy the Muppets to let them slip further into oblivion as a quaint nostalgia brand. What with the stunning and overwhelming critical and audience success that is Disney's California Adventure.....
, along with the recent Muppet - centric rumors I've seen here, it certainly seems like something along these lines might be in the works. It's not like there would be a big drop off in visitors to that part of the park.
If we can't have Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem's Rock'n Rollercoaster, maybe we can get something like Gonzo the Greats' "Giant Flaming Steel Track of Death". That sure says Disney, don't it?
