Any new info???

Hey ya'll..its been awhile since I have sbeen to the site, Ive been pretty busy. Has anyone heard any new info or seen any development, or anything involving the third park???

Thats a great question. I've checked out www.thirdpark.com and as with most official Disney web sites, it seems to be updated on perhaps an anual basis. There have been no changes to it since I first registered there five months ago. Im not 112% certain that its an official Disney site but it seems pretty nice.

One thing's certain: There won't be any DisneyQuest added to the area. They stopped expansion plans, and are closing Chicago. I went to it and I can see why: Half the stuff didn't work and the half that did was tacky. The only decent thing was the Bill Nye build your own roller coaster simulator. Too bad. It was an idea ahead of its time. The technology isn't up to the dream.

No news on the 3rd theme park. The two new parking lots, Pongo & Buzz, are opening this weekend, July 14. Pongo is the new Cast Member lot (700 spaces) and Buzz is the theme park/convention center overlow lot (1,000 spaces).

On Tuesday the City Council approved DISNEY's third park expansion plans.

No. They approved to continue with the studies and proceed with the planning process. There are no current expansion plans that Disney has made a final decision on.
