    Its a parade/stree show,it will go down teh parade route,and stop,do a little show,then continue on.

    this was reported on DisneyForever.com:

There aren't any floats on property yet. I have seen the diagrams and schematics for the floats though and they look good. Each one is extensively themed to it's movie. It's going to be very bright and alive! Definately no giant clouds or gold leaf'd whales, you can count on that!

Thanks nemo. This makes me happy to know that it should turn out good. I like DCA and I hope this will change other peoples thoughts too.

Re: AUDITION FOR "PARADE OF DREAMS" AND "BLOCK PARTY"!!!

    To TweedlDum9,

i was thinking about auditioning for a character role.
What is a normal parade audition like for character roles?

also, I am not the thinnest person in the world. does weight have a lot to do with getting a role? I 'm not huge, but I'm not real thin either. I can definitly dance though!

    thanks

^Audition! I think I read an article on MousePlanet about auditioning. This CM auditioned and had to go to a couple rehearsals where he learned some easy dance steps, and eventually got a part in the parade. You could at least give it a try. If nothing else, you'll get to go backstage! If I can dig up the article, I'll post it for you.

EDIT: It was actually on Laughing Place....and his audition took place in the 80s, but I still think it's relevant. Here are the links for those of you interested in auditioning.

Share a Dream Come True was HORRIBLE. It was nothing but a commercial for overpriced snowglobes and 30-year-old Lost Boys running in circles down the street. And aving at characters trapped behind glass (or acrylic, whatever).

Now, I saw it back in 2003, and I understand they made some major changes after the incident several months ago, but there's no way that that parade could be magical and special. Especially without the show stops.

And call me cynical, but I was VERY bitter that one of those tributes to Walt, on the back side of the finale float, was the picture of him walking through OUR castle!

Those pictures are all stashed away inside the Parade Building and TDA...

And the final designs have changed a lot from the concept sketches they showed during the press event in May, but they have been good changes.

Re: AUDITION FOR "PARADE OF DREAMS" AND "BLOCK PARTY"!!!

The Share A Dream Come True Parade in its original form, for the 100 years of Magic celebration, was actually really nice- and with the show stops. and I actually like the snowglobe concept, yet their should have been more floats, and they should have kept up the special effects over the years, which they didn't!

as for the lost boys, I agree, having older people play them, who are to old looking and way to tall, didn't look so great. and the show stops were nothing but playing around with the little kids. hardly theatrical.

but alas, I actually enjoy it.

ps. our parade of dreams will knock'em dead anyway. then they can be jealous.
