    Re: Design changes...

I don't know what all you've heard or haven't heard, but one of the biggest changes was the elimination of both the Muppets and Lilo & Stitch units.

Now it's all the Pixar characters: Toy Story, Bug's Life, Monsters Inc., and the Incredibles at the end.

Oh, and the name is now officially "Block Party Bash."

The floats themselves had elements added and dropped over time, but I'm sure we'll all be happy with the final product. The core concept for each unit is still there, just some minor tweaks here and there. But mind you, I haven't actually seen any of them like for Parade of Dreams...

Well at least there are floats and not just characters dancing with streamer things.

I'm wondering that to. I want to see Dory. Shes the best. Why wouldn't they out this in parade since it did awesome in box office.

No Nemo, only the ones I mentioned...

I know it did REALLY well at the box office, but in terms of turning it into live entertainment, don't you think it'd be kind of weird seeing giant fish driving down the street (or as giant puppets)? And fish probably don't lend themselves to a "Party!" atmosphere as well as the others...

But to be fair, those characters in the "on ice" show wouldn't necessarily fit in at DLR-- the dory character has a visible face above the fish body, etc. which looks fine in an arena, but maybe not as much in a street show at the park. I think they'll be fine without the nemo unit.

Oh, I was just pointing out that there is a Nemo production out there. But yeah....those "On Ice" characters or a bunch of those Nemo go-carts that have been spotted at DCA before would've been scary on the parade route.
