I've had good luck finding Donald in Toontown. Then again, this was like 6 years ago.

A couple of months ago I saw him in the Toontown gazebo. I had to get my picture with him cause I know he doesn't come out much, which is really too bad. The problem is characters regularly come out of Toontown's City Hall and go to the gazebo, but you never know who is going to come out. Hopefully they will bring him out more during the 50th. I would also like to see Roger Rabbit out and about in Toontown again.

They really need to bring out Donald more often because after I took my picture he quacked at me! I don't know if that is new, but it was really cute!

I could tell the quack wasn't the person inside making the noise. It sounded like there was a little squeaker added to the costume. Does that make sense?

We have got pictures with him in front of the backlot and at the photo place in front of Goofy's Kitchen. I've know "people" to pick up a cast member reference guide to look for that kind of stuff.

One time around Christmas 2000, my sister and I headed into a virtually empty Toontown shortly before it closed for the night, and Donald was standing alone in the Gazebo. It was actually kinda creepy. Couldn't see any CMs walking around, no one appeared to be "handling" Donald, and there was nary a guest in sight.

Naturally we ran right up to him and took a picture and got autographs and stuff, and as we were walking away he said, "Merry Christmas!" in perfect Donald voice. My sister and I were shocked, and kinda stumbled away in awe after we said Merry Christmas back. I can't complain about it because the voice was spot-on.

So yeah, topic, Donald is hard to find at DLR. He's much more prolific at WDW, go fig. But then again, you can meet Friar Tuck & Co. on a regular basis in WDW, which fascinates me.
