This has been bugging me all day- Why was the new Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters open at DL yesterday?

Well it really was not open. All attractions go thru a testing period of unanounced openings that could last hours or minutes. No announcements are made and if people are lucky enough to walk by the attraction then they just pick them out of a crowd and let them ride. These test are needed to make sure that things work as best as possible for the actual opening date when the crowd might be big.
