    How to Improve Critter Country...

Okay, so Critter Country has Splash Mountain, Winnie the Pooh, Pooh Store, Pooh Meet-n-Greet, and Hungry Bear. How can Disney improve this land? Rumors say Frontierland will reclaim Critter Country as Frontierland again. I don't think that should happen. Splash Mountain and Pooh Store can stay. I think Hungry Bear should perhaps get rethemed and rebuilt. Possible themes include: bears, bambi, brother bear, robin hood, & fox & hound. (not sure about live-action movies). If at all possible somewhere down the road years after the 50th and Finding Nemo subs, could Pooh get the Tokyo ride treatment? Is there enough room? Or perhaps just improve the Pooh ride we have now. Should there be a nature trial? I had this crazy idea about having a nature trail from Critter Country, along the river & train tracks, to Frontierland where the pond is from the old rainbow caverns ride is. More exact is a entry/exit through the cave right next to the Frontierland trail. I hope you know what I'm talking about. To get behind the Indian Village scene, guests can go through a cave. I think theres a waterway where the Fantasmic barges are stored, not sure how to get throught that...perhaps go behind that or build a bridge over the water.

Critter Country has always been lacking something to me. Maybe because that land used to be Frontierland.

I think the next step Critter Country should go to is to remove its past heritige and I know lots of people might disagree I think the Country Bear Jamboree theme should be removed and Im talking about the Hungry Bear they should retheme it. Possible rethemes I have came up with is the "Rabbit Hole" themed to Splash Mountain, or something to bring kids in the area would to theme it to that bear. Pooh! Have a character dining eaterie where Pooh and friends can say hi to you while you eat at this resturaunt. Simaler to Ariels Grotto. Then remove the Pooh meet and greet to add a cheap clone tipe ride. "Hunny Pot Spin" a revamped version of tea cups where you spin hunny pots as fast as possible. this could be placed where the current meet and greet is. Im not a fan of Pooh but I think more presence of him in the area might attract the younger crowds to this reigon of the park.

...you're kidding right? No offense, but I think Critter Country has enough Pooh. It needs other creatures and other theme(s) besides Pooh.

    my two cents
leave Hungry Bear as is, it is so peaceful there, a Brother Bear themed puppet show or something would TOTALY ruin it, get rid of Pooh and bring back the Country Bears! Its still popular at WDW right! either that or get Pooh's Hunny Hunt. I think the Pooh Honey Pot Spin is really a good idea, that meet N greet area causes uneeded trafic, and if they could find an area for the quee thats far enough away from the Splash exit, that would be sweet in disposing of traffic

Okay, here is the real problem with Critter Country. You have a low capacity E-ticket that a lot of the kiddies can't go on. Then you have a bland C-ticket that adults, or kids, don't want to go on. Group these problems with the "remote" location CC has in the park, and the small area it is in, and people won't typically spend more than 2 hours maximum in this area. That includes line time.

Solution? As far as changing anything they won't touch Pooh. (I couldn't resist. sorry.) And honestly it wouldn't be that smart to change it right away. Expansion is the real key for this area. Leave what is there, but perhaps add afew more C-ticket rides, maybe a walk through trail like Redwood Creek CC and open areas.

The idea is to keep people in the area for longer than they are staying there now. This means providing something more substantial for waiting parents and toddlers to do while the rest of the party rides Splash Mountain.
Marge if you're gonna get mad everytime I do something stupid, I guess I'll just have to stop doing stupid things!

you know what they should do, make Pooh into an omnimover ride and have splash get longer, wider logs, that would increase compacity for one.
    what the heck?
anyone mind explaining why my posts widen the page?

Hopefully one day in the future, DL could have the budget, time, and plan to widen the flume and have side by side seating to increase capacity. But unfortunately i really doubt this will happen. Remember, this was the first Splash Mountain, so of course WDI will improve the mistakes made so other Splash Mountains do not run into the same mistake. I still like the ride, mind you.

I think its because your location statement in your profile is long.

    Yeah, why is that? Hmmmm...LOL

Anyway, I don't see anything wrong with CC. Love Splash, Pooh is a cute dark ride, no worse no better than other dark rides. Sure we all wanted Tokyos' version, but we didn't get it, LET IT GO. I also like the hugry bear, but a menu expansion might be nice. If anything, it could be renamed "Frontierland:Backwoods"

Maybe they could add someplace where you could buy pie.
