I don't know if this help you, but they are releasing the set nationwide (minus the LP) later this year. I don't remember the date, but I believe it's sometime in the fall.
I haven't seen it in the World of Disney or the Fantasia shop at the DL hotel. It can't hurt to ask.

I picked it up in the Grand Californian Gift Shop on Friday, so it's available there for sure.

I found MouseInfo's interview with producer Randy Thornton, who said the vinyl-less version will come out in September:

Though I had posted that this date would be good for people to order the set to give them the best chances of getting the vinyl, I expected there to be some traffic to Disney Direct, but we were all stunned at the response. In 12 hours, we nearly sold 2,000 copies. That’s nearly half of the 5,000 Limited Edition. Through our elation that it was doing so well, the realization that we could possibly sell out before 05.05.05. hit us too! Now originally, when the Limited Edition sold out, the set would have been the same but it wouldn’t be numbered and wouldn’t include the vinyl. But selling so quickly, we felt that it was a shame that most people wouldn’t get the opportunity to visit the park and get a copy with the vinyl. Everyone at the office was excited but concerned. So I suggested creating a Special Edition that would be exclusive to Disneyland, Walt Disney World, and Disney Direct (as was the Limited Edition) but it would be unnumbered but would still include the reproduction of Walt Disney Takes You to Disneyland but pressed in standard black vinyl. That would maintain the exclusivity of the Limited Edition (only 5,000 numbered with the Gold Vinyl) but would allow more people to get a copy of this album. I mean, it’s Walt himself. I really wanted more people to have the opportunity to get the vinyl. So that’s what we’re doing. For the remainder of the celebration, even if the Limited Edition is sold out, you can still get the vinyl in the Special Edition exclusively through Disneyland, Walt Disney World, and Disney Direct. Now, in September, the set will be available nationwide ‘wherever Disney Music is sold’ without the vinyl.
It's an insightful 9-page interview from late April, covering the search, selection, and restoration of all the tracks, well worth reading (or re-reading):

Just wanted to let you know I returned two numbered sets to the Music shop on Sunday (yesterday) at about 4:00 p.m. I don't even think the cast member noticed they were numbered. They did have the unnumbered versions behind the register.

duckie fan, does that mean the ones you returned were the gold lps?
I called DLR last week and found out the only places it was available that they knew of was the music shop on Main Street and the Disneyana shop on Main Street. I picked it up last Wednesday at the Disneyana shop. It has the vinyl lp which is okay with me since I plan to actually listen to it. If I had gotten the gold one, I probably wouldn't have wanted to open it.Terry - Proud SAHM to three boys and a girl!

Yes, they have the gold records.
I thought about putting them up on eBay, but the thought of making someone's day was too good to pass up.

I got my copy yesterday at the 20th century music store on main street, for $118, which isn't bad since it's a really nice set. They had about 4 more left after I bought mine. It came with the Black Vinyl. I'm questioning on whether or not to open it, as it may be worth something someday.
