So let's get this straight:
After shooting up and biting a man on the back of the neck, Captain Hook fell off the Indy ride, partially thanks to the ride vehicles being too heavy in the back. Out of shock, Smee threw a chair into the sub lagoon. A large memorial structure for Capt. Hook is being built behind the Tower of Terror.
Sad times, sad times.

And his hook will be entombed above the fire station in Walt's office.

Close Wally, you forgot to mention that it is Pressler's fault for getting Hook hooked in the first place.
To think, it all started with those lazy afternoons on Cynthia's sofa...holding spoons over candles and talking about painting

Hey, wait a minute, you guys missed "The rest of the Story." His falling out of the ride vehicle tipped up the front end of it, causing the vehicle to skip the track and go crazy. After several minutes of terrorizing guests throughout the park, the vehicle (still holding passengers) bumped into the Matterhorn causing it to tilt, then splashed into the sub lagoon where it finally came to a stop. The sub lagoon is now being drained to recover the vehicle. The passengers are all fine as they were ejected on impact with the water.
So, to wrap things up, the nemo overlay is just a ficticious rumor, and there has been a multi-million dollar lawsuit filed on behalf of the survivors to cover the expenses of their PTSD therapy.
