In the Boo Eisner topic, doppio had this to say about AP holders:"I think the APer's should be boooed too. Boooed for taxing the infrastucture. Booed for nickel and diming. Booed for bringing their peanut butter sandwiches into Disneyland to save money. Booed for complaining the whole time during Believe! that you picked the worst spot for viewing. M O V E ! Booed for bragging about how much you visit the Disneyland Resort each month, totally ignoring your young son at the same time, who is ripping the fake vines out of the walls in queue for Tower of Terror. "
First off, please don't paint all us AP holders with a broad brush, just because one or two act like idiots. And as for nickel and diming, I can buy a 6 pack of soda for the cost of ONE there. Thats gouging. And I have seen plenty of kids running wildor ripping stuff down and theyweren't AP holders kids.

Basically, when people judge ALL Annual Passholders like that, it's a stereotype. And stereotypes are not very acceptable in today's society. I did not boo Eisner at all. I even applauded Eisner. I'm an Annual Passholder. Now I don't particularly like Eisner, but I don't hate him. Without him, how do we even know Matt Ouimet would be hired? And as someone had said before, Eisner did sign the check for this celebration and all the great things coming from it. SaveDisney.com can't even keep its momentum, because Eisner hasn't done anything that could damage the company in a long time. And you gotta remember, just because he has made mistakes in the past, doesn't make him a bad person. It doesn't make him evil. The guy has feelings too. Now, I do know that having Iger in charge is already showing its good side. George Lucas is already talking to Bob Iger. Pixar may come back. You never know...

I agree that they gouge on things like drinks for instance. Being an AP holder I have brought food or drinks with me to the park, but I also go a few times a month, more if I can swing it, and I can't remember a time that I've spent less than $100 on food and or new products. I have seen the few AP'rs who build the bad name, they can be spotted complaining loudly and usually the first words out of their mouths are "I'm an AP holder!", there are many of us who can behave and keep our kids under control.
The bad AP'rs are the ones who perpetuate the stereotype because they are the loudest and most obnoxous. They are akin to Jessica Simpson, not all blondes are retarded but she adds to the bad name by living in the spotlight.- Taylor

Vacationing Disney guests without AP's spend a heck of alot more money and should be Disney's number 1 priority. P E R I O D
Besides, I wasn't coining all APer's as rude clones. I was just highlighting the many scenarios I have encountered while on vacation at the resort.

Maybe it's gouging but you missed my point. The average long term, full price paying, non-APer vacationing guest, will, more than likely pay the high price Disney charges for a soda pop. We do. We pretty much forget about all common sense while, oh, I guess I can stop writing in bold now........We pretty much forget about all common sense while at the resort. It's all part of the experience and the prices don't bother us that much. It's only twice a year, but we do spend a ton cash. I would never spend 30 dollars for a pizza in the real world.SURGEAHOLIC And as for nickel and diming, I can buy a 6 pack of soda for the cost of ONE there. Thats gouging.

What's sad about the booing situation is that a few booing AP's made all of us look bad. It's not fair, but those who booed ruined an opportunity for AP's to show some class and restraint.

I am a premium annual passholder, the kind that writes letters. As such, I understand that we are all jerkwads that feel like we own the park. I see it all the time. It is not just "One or two" bad seeds, there are hundreds of them, if not thousands. Just last night I ran in to a LOT of them. It's quite annoying. I like the every day customers a lot better than the APs.
So there.

doppio has a point, that there were a large number of AP's who have ruined experiences for people, whether they be cast members, regular guests of fellow AP's. He is not stating that ALL ap's have bad attitudes, but that there is a significant chunk of them who do. I had my day on May 5th all but ruined by a few AP's who could not get over the fact that the world didn't revolve around them. Yes, they had a point that was valid - that it was about the media and not about the guests (AP's in their eyes), but it was a media event and one that revolved around the "media guests" who have the potential to bring in other guests from around the globe.

There are a quite a lot of AP's holders who are very annoying and can ruin your trip even for other Sp holders(like me). But there are also the type that help out the non AP'ers when they are line and are having difficulting finding stuff or just want to know something(like me and others). I usually see this type os AP in Soarin line when people are nervous(i love telling them about ride and how fun it is but I never ruin it for them).
