Ya know, as far as vents and such being visible, I don't think that was even one of walts bigger concerns when he designed the ride. Plenty of mechanics are plainly visible even on some of the show scenes that always 'were that way'.. gives it a certain charm I suppose..

I just think a lot of those AAs need a little repair.. seems like most of them are broken.

I agree with MagicWDI. I think they should do something so its hard to see the ceiling. Also TRY to hide the wires holding the Arbian carpet flyer and sliding acrobats.

I recently saw the Paris one (on video) and it looks great. The colors are so vibrant and the sets are beautiful. I agree that ours could use some sprucing up!
    I love Disneyland!!!!

Yeah and they should put drains in the boats like on GRR. You may not think it's necessary, but I went one time when it was raining this year and the lack of drainage cause the water to puddle up in the boats so it was sloshing around as we were cruising. It would have been about half a centimeter deep if it was spread evenly, but since the boat tilts, it would collect in the corner. If it was just water, it wouldn't be so bad, but there was soggy trash from earlier in the day. We tried to keep our feet up but I couldnt because of my height and the CMs were trying hard to keep the ride going and couldn't do much about it. I know it doesn't rain much, but when it does, Small World is not very pleasant.

I only said that they should tear it down because it looks dated with the first animatronics in there and the limited special effects. It screams the 1960's. Now, if they updated the entire ride so that it included Sinbad-quality animatronics, then I would abstain from any more feelings of its destruction.

Those are considered animatronics?? They look like marionette puppets. (but i still think the ride is cute)
