Regis and Kelly review.. ok i lie... Laurel meeting her BSB at Regis and Kelly!

0800: Enter Disneyland Park (slightly emotional moment, I’m a Disney buff and being there the first Sunday of the 50th at opening was spiffy). It was a good day to have an annual pass!! Paid for parking… and that’s about it!
0810ish: Join line on Matterhorn Way for “Stand by for Regis and Kelly” Numero siete, that’s me!!
0930ish: We need people on the bridge to be filler and look good when Regis and Kelly come down with Mickey. Who wants to do it? * waves hand in air * Duh! “We can’t guarantee you seats.” Heck.. it’s closer then I’m “guaranteed” in line!
1000ish: Standing on the bridge, over the moat to the Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. Scoping for Regis and Kelly… hold the phone, wait, hold up.. is that? “AJ!” Hollered, not screamed. AJ lifts his eyes, smiles and waves to me. No one else seems to have noticed him, oh wells!! I walk to the front of our “boundary” and say hi to him as he walks by. He smiles says hi and walks over to greet friends. Fine with me! I’m trying to catch my breath..
A couple minutes later, he came back by and I asked him for a picture. He puts his arm around me, and SNAP! First pic of the day and no one is in my shot who’s waiting for theirs, (all mine!! Hehe!) and hey… AJ smells good! : ) I give him a hug and thank him for his time… and rattle off numerous times, “Wow, It’s so good to finally meet you!” I wanted dearly to say something of more girth and weight… but that wasn’t going to happen. Tongue tied? Excuse me? Laurel??? Darn it AJ you broke my brain. He signs a couple legs… signs a pic or two then goes back to his friends and a smoke.



1020ish: Back to gazing at the little bridge AJ entered from, I’m trying to look over there so I don’t just stare at AJ… he’s a sexy beast, but not in the zoo, so I feel odd staring him down when he’s not “on.” Tall blonde on horizon! This time, I don’t think I said anything.. I just went over to the foot of the bridge, asked my new camera friend to snap a pic for me (thank you tall older man who was friendly!). Said hi to him, and he nods mumbles hi and keeps walking. * stomps foot * Dang it Nick! It’s Disneyland but you are NOT a princess!! I snap a pic of him and go back to my place on the side of the bridge with my line buds. (Anyone else always meet people who are cool as heck in line?)
1030ish: I see people wandering down towards me again, I look up, yeah Nick’s like damn near on my shoulder. “Hi.” Uh uh… damn… I’m not used to a Backstreet Boy TALKING to me first.. huh? “Did you want a picture, I saw your camera.” I smile and tell Nick yeah I’d like one, but was suddenly surrounded by knee biters.. so he gets handed a pen and starts signing things. My camera buddy taps me on the shoulder and offers to take the pic now. I smile. I love this stranger. Nick wraps his arm around me, we smile for the camera, he goes back to signing. I smile for other pics that I realize I’m in…

Nick grabs my poster.. and signs in. Damn! The ONE time I’m NOT looking to get your siggy homie.. you sign the poster I was hoping to chuck in an hour so I don’t have to carry it around… * sigh *



Meanwhile Nick’s making lame comments and telling someone a joke that’s not funny and he elbows me… dude it wasn’t funny I’m NOT going to laugh. Was kinda nice… since we were now semi surrounded, no pushing thankfully, I was “stuck” next to him. Yeah… won’t hear me complain! That’s the second time I’ve had that happen, though last time it was Kevin. So nick does his thing then wanders back to AJ…. Safety in numbers? So yeah… they goofed around were cute.. Nick left before AJ did… yadda yadda.. Scott Savol looked sad that he didn’t get mobbed.. Regis and Kelly came down.. you can probably see me this morning on the eppi.. we were swept to the side..
1105ish: As we’re walking to the side we were getting to hang at… I look up, it’s a Dorough gathering! “Hey Howie!” I holler and wave. He looks up and smiles, as does Mama D and Angie. I snap a quick picture as security pushes my shoulder.



Howie kinda looked at the security guy dirty. That’s one thing I’ve noticed… Howie gets annoyed with pushy security.
Sometime during the taping… I saw the whole group walking back and forth between the tents in Carnation Plaza (whole Littrell fam, the Dorough clan, Kristen, various other people I didn’t recognize from a distance) a couple times.

Didn’t get into the actual taping of the show they did.. I got jipped.. sucked too. I got to the line 3 times within seconds of the rope drop, only to be told, no more. Hi.. Backstreet fan, actually wearing BSB attire and carrying a sign. Some of the girls who got in were ones who I over heard doing the “Hey, I used to like them how funny they are here.” “Oh maybe I’ll get on tv” etc etc.. I HATE it when the cute girls get priority and fans get ignored. Disneyland.. you’d think there’d be SOME justice… especially since it wasn’t only GUYS doing it… mainly I dislike cast member Cindy who I’d been interacting with since 8 am and knew DANG WELL I was here as a fan FOR BSB.. Bite me…

It was great hearing them warm up… hearing Nick whisper.. “Wait till you see my..” Man.. bust it out.. show me white boys got something going on.. and so nice to see Kev play the piano live. They sounded good, couldn’t hear 90 percent of the interview from where I was (other side of the Partner’s statue in the hub [Walt and Mickey holding hands]).

Had fun! It was good to see the KKTwins again (see you two Friday!)…. Met a couple other nice fans. Watched the Parade of Dreams… GREAT parade…! Went to the “First 50 Years” movie in the Opera House, very well put together, I love Steve Martin : ) Road Jungle Cruise.. love the addition of the piranhas! Walked right onto Pirates… Rode the train (hadn’t done that in years)… did a little shopping (and I mean LITTLE!) and snagged myself prime real estate for the fireworks. “Remember, Dreams Come True.” Disneyland outdid themselves on this one!! If you have a chance during the 50th (which is actually 18 months long, starting last Tuesday) make sure you stay late for the fireworks! They encompass so many rides and movies and themes.. I loved it!

So all in all.. I got back to San Diego at 2350… was WIPED OUT! Set my timer for Regis and Kelly… took a shower and crashed : )

* sigh * Is it Friday yet?
(just watched Regis and Kelly from this morning.. im HELLA on camera!! Me and my jumping butt and sign.. I don’t remember jumping!! LOL)

very cool. oddly enough, even though im an nsync fan, im glad to see bsb back together. i must admit i miss those boy bands. itll be interesting to see how the next few months pan out with their new cd.

whens it being released again? im really curious about what first week sales will look like.

I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOO JEALOUS! I love Nick(Well not really, but you know what I mean) I wish I could of met them.....All I have are far away pictures.....I didnt even get to stay past 4pm since my sister had to get home and nurse her baby I didnt get your email with your # till the next day.......I am sooooooo sad
