    Redd Rocket's Terrible Line System

We went to the park last night for dinner and headed for Redd Rocket's. The spaghetti and meatballs are great (oily noodles, but still good).

Anyway, I just couldn't believe the line system there. A single line stretched back from the spaghetti station to the door. I went up to one of the girls at the salad counter and asked her if I had to wait in this long line for spaghetti. She said no, just go up to the spaghetti counter. When I did, there were people who had waited in the long line just to get spaghetti. I considered pizza as an alternative and then just ended up cutting in line for spaghetti.

As I stood at the check out counter, I looked back and saw a situation that desparately needed management attention. A line out the door, ONE server dishing up spaghetti while everyone else, who should have been helping, stood around talking.

The whole problem stems from the way people enter the restaurant, pick up a tray and proceed to wait in line rather that go directly to a particular food station. The whole problem could be solved by using the same stanions (portable posts connected with ropes or chains) that are used in the Plaza Inn. A small queue area in front of each station will help people get in the right line for the food they want.

Will someone please suggest this to management? There is no reason to allow this mess to continue. People were very frustrated watching others cut in front of them.

Agreed. The restraunt is a pretty ugly mess, especially during busy times. I don't know what to recommend, but I'm sure management is aware of it.

Two weeks ago, there were two lines going into one register, and the cast member makes the guests in the original line (that we were in for 10 minutes) move to the new line. So, the people in front of us asked if they could go, and told them we were with them, even though we weren't. The CMs let them go, but not us. So, I put my tray with the food I was going to buy, down on the tray counter and left. I will never eat at Redd Rockett's again. There are some serious line issues they need to fix in there.

A great solution to red rockets problem would be offering pizza and spaghetti at the tomorrowland terrace and destroying red rocket. THEN PUT A NEW RIDE! This way tomorrowland terrace is back to the place it once was and we have a new ride at the same time! Then they can put the red moonliner (spaceship) where the observetron is.

It`s a mess I agree what being said on here. The management at this place need to do something about the line. I bought my food there and it took 20 minutes to purchase the food after I waited 10 minutes to get what I wanted. It really does bite that line is not structured very well

calling tlt my home.. i say to this... amen! ummm, if you think a line at pizza pot to the door is bad, i have seen it go all the way to tlt... that was bad.

Now, in defense of the cast members *at the register* It is hard to keep it tat one line, and on occasions, when 2 lines do form, the cast members hate having to make it one line. they are concerned with pleasing all of the guests in line, we have to make a quick decision of who to serve, without making any disgruntled guests.. that is one of the hardest things in the world, considering there is just no pleasing some people. i will not defend the cast members seen talking, while only one person was doing sphaggetti.. i have not workejd at pizza port enough to know how they run the positions for serving, and who needs to be where... but they should have given the scooper a helping hand if they were available to do so.

as for the crowd problem,.. the cast members do their best to keep the lines going fast, and get everyone through in a timely mannor. they too become overwhelmed with the crowds, just as the guests do, but they use that to work faster and harder... the problem with making a unique line system like other restraunts in the park is the drink cells in the middle would prevent that. also, the guest intake at htis restraunte is a lot larger.

I usually go to Redd Rockets every time I go to DL and the line has never been very bad. I've gone there on very crowded days (New Years, July 4th, May 5th) and have never waited very long. However, the lines would go faster if people would realize that each station has it's own line. Many people automatically create one big line and a CM has to explain that each counter has a line.

Turning Redd Rockets into an attraction would be a HORRIBLE idea. The west side of the park desperately needs this huge restaurant. Especially right now when there seems to be long lines for food all over the park.

Plus you can't beat free refills!

Isn't spaghetti, by its very nature, a long line?
