Light Magic video?

I never got to see the infamous show that replaced the Main Street Electrical parade in 1997 but I just listened to the soundtrack and I LOVED it! I really love "Irish" music (big fan of Flogging Molly) and the soundtrack to Light Magic is really really nice. (The Irish-jigged Disney songs including the MSEP was a really neat touch, I thought) It's a shame that the show was so largely unpopular because the music was great.

Ok, I think I commented how much I liked the music but I was wondering if anyone knew of any online video that can be downloaded of Light Magic? VisionsFantastic seems to boycott it and do not have a video of it, so I was wondering if anyone out there knew where I could find video of the ill-fated show.

I've recently acquired a video of it. Having not seen the show in person, the video really shows how bad a show it was. I love the soundtrack but the routine that goes along with it is awful.

The only good part of the show was the fiber optics embedded in the buildings of Main Street. Why they painted over those and didn't use them for other shows is beyond me, as it was a really neat effect and had to have taken a long time to design and install.

Most likely not. As Wally mentioned the fiber optics in the buildings were reportedly jsust painted over. Not to say tha they can't do a similar effect soemday, but it's not like they can jsut flip a switch and "voila".

Maybe in another 7 years or so, the paint will peel enough that they'll be able to use the fiberoptics once again.

I remember upn doing a special on it and showing light magic they also did a special on the opening of the new tl. Maybe somebody has vido from that

I have that video of the Tomorrowland 98 opening! It's VHS though :-\ Maybe I'll convert it to digital over the summer!

I too have a VHS tape of the TL98 opening. I remember a Light Magic special, but i don't know if i recorded it. And i also missed my chance to see Light Magic.

I remeber light magic. It wasn't that bad really, it was no electrade parade, thats for sure. But the darn pixies were just ugly. They were freakin scary. Lil kids were afraid to dance with them.
