Disneyland "Happiest Homecoming on Earth" Commemorative DVD

    http://www.mouseshoppe.com/product.cfm?ProductID=6713

Just saw this on MouseShoppe...are they selling this at the parks? Has anyone bought this yet? This wasn't the one that they were selling on Amazon, was it?

EDIT: Found this on the LP Store site:
This DVD is the same as the Disneyland Resort Video Guide that was formerly available, but with some new bonus features on the Tower of Terror, Disneyland's 50th celebration, Snow White, Aladdin and Disneyland with pre-schoolers.

Wished they had that message earlier. I was really disappointed how they could just repackage this as a 50th Anniversary Edition and it not really being about the 50th at all. I mean, the fireworks show that are mentioned on the video is Imagine...!

Please do not waste your money on this. It's incredibly boring and as someone else said, talks about the new fireworks show "Imagine" while the box states it has a preview of Remember. Absolute garbage and not what I would have expected from Disney.

It sucks. I bought one expecting something completely different. Instead, it's just an enhanced version of the free travel video they offer on the DL website. They only have a little section on the 50th stuff, and it's just about what you can expect to see.

Do not waste your money, unless you are buying for someone else who has not been to the parks in a while.

And very well we should with them releasing junk like this. Unfortunately, because this is a "fan" board, they'll still be alot of unsuspecting people who sink $29 buck into this piece of junk...don't know if they'll be as discriminating as many of us are though.

I wish this thread were around before I went to the park. I was in Disneyland June 26th- July 5th and I bought the DVD on the last night. Biggest waste of 40 bucks EVER. I actually enjoy the FREE Vacation Planning Videos MORE and there isn't a really annoying cast member taking you through it step by step in those! SAVE YOUR MONEY! For that price you can buy 14 and a half Churros! I wish I would have thought about that one beforehand.

You can thank the useless product development Merchandise team that is based in Florida for putting together this crappy DVD set. If you hadn't noticed it is Disneyland's 50th anniversary, yet you wouldn't know it on the actual DVD itself other than some external logo packaging.

They just don't get it when it comes to our property.

The previous DVD for DLR was produced inhouse by Disneyland Merchandise and they did a great job. This piece of crap is just one more example of how the two Merchandise teams on the product development side need to be separated and based at each respective Resort property.

If you all don't like it you should voice your complaints to DLR and attention it to Matt Ouimet. He needs to here this feedback.

That would go for any merchandise complaints (if you have any).

All in the name of saving a buck, the product development for all theme park merchandise has been consolidated in Florida, yet it is well known that trends are usually about 1 year ahead in states like California and New York over such states like Florida. That is why most of our merchandise offering is lacking in so many areas.

Okay, I'm done, but this is a constant complaint internally about how our hands are tied at DLR regarding our merchandise product development.
