I wish some of the folks on this thread would bring something new to the table and not the same old arguement.

Not a crusade. Disney fan interested in having discussions about Disney.

THe discussion is now "Man the original theme sucked, but the park is moving in such a better direction."
I too wish the original theme hadn't sucked. But it did. We can't talk "mundane reality" into having been a good theme for a theme park. And, we can't just ignore it as long as there are still people pretending that DCA's problems are not the direct result of the very sucky original theme. It is the white elephant in the room that must be discussed for any other discussion to have any context.
We can't discuss the future without discussing how we got here and why the park needs to go in a different direction.

Wrongway, its not a discussion when the only opinion you are willing to accept as "truth" is your own.You make it sound as if people who enjoy DCA are dellusional and dont want to "admit" that DCA sucks.Maybe some people ACTUALLY feel the park is cool? I know its hard to fathom, but step back and think bout it for a second.
Im not here to pretend DCA is something its not,my views on DCA is what I see, nothing more, nothing less.I am not trying to "dress a pig in a dress" as you call it...and for the record, there is no such thing as a DCA apologist, thats because DCA has nothing to apologize for,its a good park.

You should see my aunt in a dress. Same thing, really.
How did this turn into a discussion based solely on DCA, once again? It was a generic topic, I understand, but c'mon. There is plenty good/bad about both parks...the original user just didn't understand why people are negative about Disney (in general). I can understand WrongWay's frustrations, I can understand Nemo's. It's all in the eye of the beholder.MouseInfo Moderator

07-22-2005 09:53 AM #119Wooaaaahh okay, so WrongWay can't say DCA sucks and that it's fans wont admit it.....but you can say DCA has nothing to apoligize for because it's a good park? Isnt that the same thing, using your opinion to make a 'factual' statement like 'DCA is a good park'? Your opinion doesnt make DCA being a good park a fact, neither does WrongWay's opinion that DCA sucks and that it's a fact. I'm sorry, but thats the way I see it, please correct me if you didnt mean it that way....
