Constructive criticism is different that complaining about a burnt out light bulb. I'm tired of seeing a huge line for City Hall; people waiting to complain about something. It's like they LOOK for something to whine about.
Another thing is that people complain about Fastpass.
"Well, if they wouldn't let all these Fastpass people go, the standby will move faster."
You wouldn't be saying that if you had one.
During the ceremony on July 17th, I couldn't help myself from crying. I look around at the crowd, and think, "How can these people not cry?" Some people just don't appreciate the magic of Disneyland; how it was made, and how it still lives on.

07-18-2005 04:30 PM #33Being positive doesn't necessarily mean that you praise a ride. There are tons of things you can talk about without bashing some aspect of disneyland. For the billionth time everyone has already posted that they dont mind hearing other people's opinions even if they are negative as long as they are well thought out. No one is forcing opinions on others we are merely tired of hearing people bash Disney with no reasoning behind it.

Exactly. There is a difference between, "Indiana Jones could be better." and "Indiana Jones sucks."

This is not an Imagineering forum. This is not a "How can we make Disneyland Better" forum. It's a discussion board about anything and everything at Disneyland. Disliking Indiana Jones is something to talk about and someone that does not like it will do that. You cannot please everyone and you can not make everyone love Disney Co., Disneyland, or Indiana Jones. Whether you focus on the negative threads would be your own dealings, it is easy to bypass those threads and ignore them. You can't stop people from complaining, simple fact. And as any disclaimer will tell you (think late night Infomercials) "The views represented by the individuals do not necessarily reflect the company, (or in this case the discussion boards and it's members) in anyway" Generalizing can be a dangerous thing. I hate when everybody generalizes.

I'm addicted to Disneyland. Disneyland hobbies are expensive. If I become a bum people are going to say "Don't give him money, he's just gonna use it on Disneyland."
Disneyland. My Anti-drug.

Ditto that Maxdad, especially in the morning when we first went in... the air was completely different. It was happiness amped up to the 50th degree. CMs and Castmembers alike were just so excited and beaming with smiles. The tram CMs too, the safety announcer on the trams kept screaming wishing Disneyland a happy birthday, it was very good times.

Completely agree. Walking down Main Street at 7:15 AM with the CMs lining it cheering amped up the excitement a ton (I ended up running down the line high-fiving all of them (I'm retarded, I know)) and they kept up the excitement the whole day. Really great job on their part.

NOTE TO READERS: YellowMan has been known to joke around from time to time. Please don't take some posts by him to their full, literal meaning. Doing so will most likely end in one of the following: making a fool of YellowMan, making a fool of yourself, making a fool of Ronald Reagan, drymouth, or in rare cases, death. Thank you and enjoy your stay.

Maxdad, you and Mrs. Maxdad both know it had nothing to do with the CMs. It was all about the vase joke.
As for positive/negatives, I have a Premium Annual Passport. When I say jump, Mickey says, "Gosh, how high?" The Mouse is my oyster, and if I don't find a mouse-eared pearl, someone's gonna hear about it.
True story: Yesterday I was on the Mark Twain with several friends, including Mr. & Mrs. Maxdad. I turned to GrandGal as we passed Tom Sawyer's Treehouse and said, "Look! It's Tarzan's Treehouse." A kind woman in front of me said, "Actually that's Tom Sawyer's Treehouse. Tarzan's Treehouse is in Adventureland."
I said, "Honey, I'm a Premium Annual Passholder and I KNOW what I'm talking about. That is Tarzan's Treehouse." Trouble was, GrandGal and I had been awake for so long, we were under the impression that we were riding Pinocchio's Daring EMV Journey. We couldn't find Pinoke, and we were confyoozle.
See. That story is positive because I gave a commoner a glimpse into the marvelous, paint-chipped world of Premium Annual Passholderhood. The magic's in me!
On a serious note, the cast was in top form on Sunday. I cried walking down Main Street in the morning. One of those rare times when you're smiling so hard you're crying. I saw Mr. Ouimet giving high fives, shook his hand and said, "Thanks Matt." He said, "Drew! Good to see you. Thanks for being here. I had the cast paint up that spot you found on the Innoventions balcony." I said, "You're welcome."Jaleel White does not approve.
