    Lightbulb Miceage: Paradise Pier rennovation?

The ride operators who work California Screamin', and who were staffing the barricades set up around the ride this weekend (and giving yours truly a real hard time), have even worked up a proposal for Disney management that would dress up their sad, boring loading area and queue with some surfboards and other beachy accoutrements. The kids that work in DCA may know their Park was built on the cheap and pales in comparison to Disneyland, but they've certainly got a lot of heart and passion for their workplace.
I found this interesting,is it true? who knows, but still interesting to discuss.

It'll be nice to see some enhancements, no matter how small, come to Screamin. Even though it is themed like a pier wooden roller coaster, which by themselves have no themeing. What? Anyway, I like the area, and don't complain about it, but would welcome more themeing.

More theming would be fabulous in the queue area. It's lacking big time.

What is interesting about it is that it sounds like he's getting his info from low level staff running the rides.

Given the general incorrect statements me makes on a broad basis, combined with some specific information that most employees end up getting, it's not unlikely.

I never thought the idea for the pier was bad. It looks awesome at night. It just needs more detailing. The worst culprit is the stucco square architecture. It would have been much nicer if the theming had more use of natural wood and less stucco.

Maybe a few barrells of fish and fishing spots and the midway games should have been scattered around a bit instead of just lined up against the one wall.

the area also needs a nice fun house (disney style). They should think about moving the jumping jellyfish closer to that area and maybe adding lots of surfing theming.

the PP renovation sounds like a good idea.. but is probably behind the Hollywood renovation... however who knows whats going to happen now..

(move few things.. change few things... and you can have a better PP during the day as well as night...)

While I don't think the pier needs a major change, little enhancements are always good. The surfboards and beach stuff for Screamin's queue sound cool. I also think PP needs some more palm trees and street performers to make it more warm and inviting.

A dark ride would be nice too.
