They should have saved the Light Magic floats. They are quite beautiful. They will fit nicely in DCA as the new night time show.
Snow White deserves to be gone. It is playing to the wrong audience. They could transfer it to DCA in the open air Hollywood Pictures Backlot theater as the New West Hollywood Production of Snow White.
I can't believe they are running out of money during the 50th. I suppose the new Parades and Block Party is costing lots of money. Why can't they allocate more money to the shows and entertainment? Bizzarre, or perhaps attendance isn't quite paying for the increase in entertainment. Underperformance?

Or it could be temporary until the new fiscal year begins.

I'm addicted to Disneyland. Disneyland hobbies are expensive. If I become a bum people are going to say "Don't give him money, he's just gonna use it on Disneyland."

^ I hope it's only temporary.
I think the only good reason to close the show is if they are putting in a new show for next summer (which I doubt).

Snow White on hiatus. I just hope they still have my audition tape for its return. The cast they have now is horrible. If I were cast as snow, I could guarantee full capacity every show. Also I think if they used real midgets it would help with attendance.
...the value of an idea has nothing whatsoever to do with the sincerity of the man who expresses it.

The show needs less Broadway and more Disney... bring in the rubberhead dwarves and dub their voices. Fantasy Follies remains one of my favorite shows at Disneyland. It was in the Plaza Gardens Stage with a band at the back, two hosts and a gaggle of characters including Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Donald, Chip, Dale, Clarabell Cluck, and Roger Rabbit with costume changes between sets... yes costume changes of the CHARACTERS between sets ending with an "All here party" Party Gras-esque ending with all the characters in bright mambo clothing.

What is the timing of these changes? I want to make sure I see Snow White and DEP before they go on hiatus.
Also, I sure hope the Candlelight Procession is not moving to the Fantasyland theater. The last time they did that, only people who had tickets from participants or who paid for dinner, etc. got to go in and see it. That really Stunk!!! I love it out on Main Street.Terry - Proud SAHM to three boys and a girl!

08-09-2005 12:05 AM #28seriously, TDL/TDS has too much non-ride entertainment to offer...

VS
Tokyo Disneyland:
Minnie Oh Minnie!
One Man's Dream: The Magic Lives On
Disney's Dreams on Parade (WAAAY Better than PoD, made for TDL's 20th anniversary)
Disney's Electrical Parade Dreamlights (again, way better than MSEP)
Disney's Magic in the Sky
Disney's Rock Around the Mouse
Blazing Rhythms (it looks like a GREAT night-time parade/show using music!)
And they have other gazillion seasonal-shows/parades for Christmas/Halloween/Rain-day only mini parade, etc.
and
Tokyo DisneySea:
Aladdin's Whole New World (this summer-only lagoon show...if it was put in DCA, they would show it forever...
They had Little Mermaid show last year, I believe)
BraviSEAmo
Encore!
Mystic Rhythm
Sail Away
Mermaid Lagoon Theatre
Porto Paradiso Water Carnivale (basically a parade on lagoon, using ships that 'float's
Disney Magic in the Sky (same show as TDL's... Why can't they have Remember at DCA?...)
As you can tell, Tokyo Disney doesn't put some random pointless show like Sword in the Stone and call it an "Entertainment."
TDS currently have 3 lagoon shows, and DCA has what? none... Same goes to TDL. They have three parades, and DL has that crappy Parade of Dreams with only six major floats with extremely un-entertaining parade stops... I mean come on, Disneyland can do MUCh better IMO... Even Fantasmic should be replaced by something new... Don't think me wrong, but I'm a big fan of Fantasmic, and love every single minute of that show, but show is a show, and it can't be playing forever at Disneyland... Over at TDS, DisneySea Symphony (pretty good nighttime lagoon show) was replaced by BraviSEAmo only after about two/three years of running... DLR should learn that rides aren't the only way to draw more guests...
