I'm doing this from memory, so I may have messed this up, but is this the bio of Lincoln from the show?
I was born Feb. 12, 1809, in Hardin County, Kentucky. My mother, who died in my tenth year, was of a family of the name of Hanks. My paternal grandfather, Abraham Lincoln, emigrated from Rockingham County, Virginia, to Kentucky, about 1781, where, a year or two later, he was killed by indians, not in battle, but by stealth, when he was laboring to open a farm in the forest.
My father, at the death of his father, was but six years of age; and he grew up, literally without education. He removed from Kentucky to what is now Spencer County, Indiana, in my eighth year. It was a wild region, with many bears and other wild animals, still in the woods. There I grew up.
At twenty one I came to Illinois, and passed the first year in Macon County. In 1846 I was elected to the lower House of Congress. Was not a candidate for re-election. I was losing interest in politics, when the repeal of the Missouri Compromise aroused me again. What I have done since then is pretty well known.
If any personal description of me is thought desirable, it may be said, I am, in height, six feet, four inches, nearly; lean in flesh, weighing on an average one hundred and eighty pounds; dark complexion, with coarse black hair, and grey eyes--no other marks or brands recollected.
That about right? I'm copying it over from http://showcase.netins.net/web/creat...s/autobiog.htm but they used an edited version of his December 20, 1859 autobiography. So th

Which show, the more recent version with the headphones, or the earlier version without the creepy trainee barber?

The older show. They managed to replace information about lincoln with a haircut.
Good on them, eh?You may contact me via jonvn@nadelberg.com.

The headphones ruined the attraction; the old lincoln voice was more believeable, the former speech, an amalgamation of other Lincoln speeches, gave a better show than the retread of the Gettysburg address, and even the preshow was better.
I was sorry they updated Lincoln: it was one big step backward. Let's hope after the 50th they bring him back in his former incarnation, instead of the screwball barbershop show.

08-05-2005 09:34 AM #5I have to agree. THat new Lincoln show exemplifies how the idiots at Imagineering love to ruin shows by making it more "Disney". How can they really "fix" or improve Pirates? If anything the stuff they added from World of Motion is completely out of place. PRESSLER!

It was very silly. And it didn't really bring any extra people in. Just leave it alone if you have to dumb it down. Some of these guys, their taste is all in their mouth.

I agree that they ruined it. I seriously doubt they will bring the old show back after spending $$ for all those stupid little headsets. The old show kinda made me choke up. I really liked that show. I think the new one focuses more on the sound effects (which drove me crazy) and took away from the show. Too bad.
