Since Disney's role in Celebration, FL has diminished, they could reallocate that name for DCA: Disney's Celebration. (Although, there's not too much to celebrate at DCA....) Regardless, a single word like that would work better for the title than California Adventure.

I think some people are putting way too much importance in the name,Disneys Animal Kingdom isnt a short one word name yet it "works",DCA's name isnt the problem, its theme isnt the problem, there isnt a single family out there who says "eh that park was ok,the theme bugs me",if the CA theme was the issue then nobody would like Soarin over CALIFORNIA right? ...its just crazy, that stuff is only dwelled on by Disney geeks online. The average guest at DLR just wants quality rides and lost of them, bottom line.Add those to DCA and the park will do just fine. All this name change stuff is laughable.Come to think of it "Pirates of the Carribean" is awefully long, maybe they should shorten it to a one word name? maybe more people would ride it? come on folks.

It "works" because Animal Kingdom is easier to say than California Adventure.

The sad thing they probably spent tons of money on focus groups and such for the logos and names etc.

Why did they ditch the original logo? The one they replaced it with is very bland, and almost like something done just as a placekeeper until they come up with a new logo.
I wouldn't put much stock in this if it weren't for the fact that they are already removing the original swoopy logo from everything and replacing it with something that has "DISNEY'S" in big familiar letters with "california adventure" tacked on as an afterthought in small letters below.
Something must be up with the future of Disney's California Adventure Park.Last edited by TP2000; 08-16-2005 at 05:33 PM.

I am not a fan of the new logo either. It's kind of ridiculous and does nothing to help the park, IMNSHO.

The new logo is very "photoshop",kind of ironic that the Pressler regime churned out a more creative logo than Ouimets team.

Photoshop? The former was more decorative and more photoshoppy than the current plain text logo.
Two former DLR logos:
