THIS is the logo they should have stuck with. It was so much fun, and had that postcard/vacation feel to it. The current DCA "logo" is simply type...in a line...great.

I agree 100%, that logo had a much better feel to it. It was bright and I liked the use of the GRR bear icon.

I thought they were trying emphasize Disney and de-emphasize Grizzly Peak as the DCA icon like Sleeping Beauty Castle is for DL.

You can't emphasize both California and Disney and with the giant CALIFORNIA in the logo. It's easy to overlook Disney and Adventure in that logo especially if printed small like in a brouchre rack. It is easy to overlook it as just another CALIFORNIA "thing" with all the other CALIFORNIA toursisty merchandise. Indeed the logo is nice but it emphasizes the wrong "thing" in that sense.

I'm addicted to Disneyland. Disneyland hobbies are expensive. If I become a bum people are going to say "Don't give him money, he's just gonna use it on Disneyland."

How about "Disney's Pathetic Whiner's Reason for Being Park?" Because no matter what they do with it, these critics will never shut the heck up.

What kind of theme is Disneyland? Oooo I won't go on Pirates of the Caribbean because it's themed to New Orleans, not Disneyland!

Nobody cares about the name of the park, or if the individual lands connect to the overall theme. It just has to be good Disney quality, and the rides should fit into their settings reasonably well. Disney parks have been like that for years. Still, nothing in DCA really deviates from the theme yet. A Bug's Land could be set in a California grassy area. Whatever. It fits just as well as the Matterhorn in Tomorrowland in 1959. This nitpicking is a waste of time.

I think it was total crap for Pressler or whoever to expect DCA to get 30,000 a day when it's only a fourth of Disneyland for the same price. In scope and scale, the park was just as much of a success as Disneyland, and it's clearly a victim of overexpectations. It doesn't need a new name, and people suggesting that it needs to be demolished are going over the edge.

Granted, Disney's California Adventure is a crappy name. I don't think it screws the park over like Al Lutz does, but it could be much catchier. I like the KFC approach.

Disneyman that is so righteous an observaton. Who gives a rip what they call it? People still call Knott's "Knott's Berry Farm," even though there hasn't been a berry grown there for two decades.

DCA pulls in respectable numbers, in spite of all the whining, and is poised with space to expand. Some things work as an attraction (Soarin'), other things missed, like California Dreaming. That's the way entertainment works.

I tell ya, if the critics unwent the same microscopic scrutiny they heap on Disney, they would have gone legs up long ago. Some of those other web sites they run are ablsolutely a nightmare to navigate, and they have horrible graphics! No one picks them to death, like they do the Disneyland Resort.

DCA is one of my favorite places to be, and I think the new developments will really add enjoyment. They could call it Disney's Fish Market, Bar and Grill, and I would still go.

    Hmmm, DFMBG.....

<------ ooo. coool. I got a warning! You cant see it, but I must have gotten someone mad! LOL!

I'd like to take a microscope the "critics'" roach infested apartments. Can you imagine a sanitary life for some of the "fans"?
