i doubt they will be taking down the whole facade though. It looks like they will just change the bottom entrance portion. I hope they don't make it so that there is too much sunlight going into the lobby and detsroying the atmosphere in there.
Now if only they would redesign the entrance to the sorcerors workshop. That long queue needs to be changed a bit. Or at least have a CM at the beginning of the queue like they used too.
I always wondered how much better that section of the building would have been if it had been a ride. Imagine getting on a vehicle and you enter the workshop. They could have used the trackless sytem so that your vehicle went into certain areas of the room were you would do certain activities like using your voices to record a track for a caroon. Maybe have another section where you helped draw a frame for the movie you are creating. The climatic point would be when your vehicle entered a 360 projection room where you have now become a character in this cartoon you have created. At the end you were given the option of e-mailing the 1 minute cartoon short .Last edited by ismael flores; 11-02-2005 at 12:19 PM.

I hope this isn't interrupting Drawn to the Magic! I love that song, it buries itself in my cerebrum and plays on repeat.

What you are suffering from is actually a variant of It'sasmallworlditis. Except the "small world" song doesn't eventually destroy all your brain cells. Oops, I've said too much.

I like the little show but can they at least have diferent characters so that we could get excited everytime we see it.
Disney probably has a few hundred character costumes and they use the same dozen over and over and over and over and over and over and over -- to infinity and beyond!!!!!!Last edited by ismael flores; 11-02-2005 at 03:09 PM.

I'm probably going tomorrow just to see the new walls and perhaps touch them. If I do go I will give you kids an update.

11-02-2005 03:46 PM #19yeah it doesn't look to me like they'll be doing much to the entire facade but I suppose they'll make the fact that it's an attraction more obvious which is good because the Animation building is great

are they going to update that spinning thing on the outside? I seem to remeber hearing that they really haven't changed that since opening and so it shows the same old things even though the exibits have changed? (I could be wrong I really didn't look at it this summer)
as far as your ride idea goes, I've gotta say I don't think so I really like how you can walk through the enviornments in animation it gives a different sort of feeling to exploration and all and the enviornments are just cool since you can go anywere in there

They'd have to have drawings for each of the characters. As you likely know the drawings on the sketchpads are the characters that will be coming out. it's easier to have a bunch of Cinderella and Hercules sketches photocopied. You'll also no the way the show is structured, it's supposed to be a Princess, A magic maker, and a hero. Granted there is room for variation in each of those categories.

I never reported this but I guess this fits here... after the Drawn to the Magic show the area where the characters from the show typically do their greets (when not in the Character Closeups Room) is lit so that a decent sized rectangular area in the lobby is lit to provide more lighting for photographs. When there are no characters, the light(s) are not on.Last edited by dlfreak; 11-02-2005 at 04:47 PM.
