The 5th dimension for me was only cool the first time. After that, you look around and see the cheezy props and hear the sqeakt wheels from the ride vehicle, and hear the battery motor, etc...
If DCA's sucked so bad...why is TDL AND Disneyland Paris getting the same version and not World's???

DCA's layout/ride system is a little less sophisticated and more reliable than the original's. They made DCA's different because it was simply easier to deal with, not because it offered a better show. Cutting corners. Or more specifically, cutting the 5th dimension.

Word. And DCA's is much cheaper to maintain.

WDW's is simply amazing. DCA's is fun, but WDW's is better.

Never been on WDW's. I got myself really physched prior to riding DCA's TOT. When I first rode it, I was a little dissapointed. It's fun, but it seemed too short.
I was also expecting a little more thrill to it. But overall, it's pretty fun. Planning to head out east in a couple of years to try WDW's. The exterior has always looked more creepy to me than DCA.
From how it's described, WDW's version's elevator sequence seems a little more believable. I like how you immediately go up when you board and don't pass through a faux elevator door.

Yea, to me that was a definite plus. Plus, when you load into the shaft, you're immediately anticipating the drop to come at any moment...but it doesn't, you go forward. Which is great. And very creepy.

From what I have heard from people who have been on WDWs TOT,the 5th Dimension room is great the first time, but after you ride it a few times you start to notice how clunky and cheesy it really is.Im glad DCAs doesnt have it,Im happy with what we have.
My only complaint is the small trees in the outdoor queue,I wish some of the placemaking project would make its way to the TOT queue so they could fill the queue with huge old trees to block the powerlines etc.Other than that, our TOT is perfect

I rode it multiple times over my multiple day stay. Clunk and cheesy aren't things that come to mind.
Eh, I've ridden it, I like it better. Hard to have a poll when the majority of folks here haven't been on it.MouseInfo Moderator
