02-23-2006 04:05 PM #12I agree. I think the park opened as a D-, but has moved to C+.

Tomorrowland is also unmaintainable as a serious look at a possible future, so it too was reconceptualized into a space-fantasy/sci-fi land.
Parks change to fix flaws, and DCA's changes are moving in a direction away from the original concept because the original concept was a flaw.

Only a C?
Last time I visited which was a couple days ago, more people looked like they thought it was an A. I personally like it better than Disneyland and so did my family; wider walkways, bigger thrills and excellent scenery.

I was just there a few weeks ago. It's nice. It's just about the same as it was when it first opened. I like the new monster's ride, it is a lot better than SSL was, which I thought was ok, if a bit sparse. Otherwise, it seemed that it was about the same.

I think DCA would be a fine name. So would Disney's California Adventure!

When I went to California Adventure this past week, it was very busy; contrary to popular belief. Screamin had a 40 minute wait posted but we actually waited 50 minutes, Tower of Terror was continuously from 25 to 55 minutes long. Monsters Inc. had a very long line, around 30 minutes (I didn't like it). Soarin' was continuously over 40 minutes to an hour long wait.
And the pathways were crowded!
The Backlot was full of people but I'm very thankful for the wider walkways or else I would have gone crazy.
So all in all, it was very busy at both parks. Here's a picture of the wait board at Disneyland at 2pm on Saturday.
I do have to note that Splash Mountain was 20 minutes at the time but when the sun came out, it jumped to a 90 minute wait.

I'm gonna be blunt, the only reasson I EVER go to DCA is for Tower, I just find that Disneyland is so much more varried, DCA is exactly why I go to Six Flags parks, to get thrilled, which I think is a shame, I highly anticipate the changes we will see in the future, but I can only spend about two or three hours before getting bored and heading back to Disneyland in the state it is now (sans Monsters, which I have yet to ride)

Obviously you share a different opinion than mine. I personally prefer it over Disneyland. I'm not sure about what you mean by it's not varied in attractions. In Tower you drop 13 floors and just down the road you can fly over California and a few short steps away you can go on a fast run through the mountains of California on Grizzly River Run.
