you can go on a DROP TOWER then see an IMAX film then go on a FLUME RAFT RIDE, then maybe go on a ROLLER COASTER, then a FERRIS WHEEL, get the picture, Six Flags has drop towers, six flags has Flume rides, six flags has ferris wheels, six flags has roller coasters, and space shoots, and swing rides ect. its just dressed up Six Flags rides basically, Soarin is like the only original idea, and THAT is totally flawed by the feet and walls you get with the bad seats (OH THE WALLS!!!) I admit the theming of GRR is very impressive, but its still a raft ride.

But they aren't themed or designed as the ones in DCA.
I've been to Six Flag's parks. They are not the same. THAT is the reality.
You're in Petaluma. You're going to compare Six Flags Marine World to DCA? Give me a break. You may contact me via jonvn@nadelberg.com.

just saying, DCA has carnival rides, Six Flags have carnival rides.
(and I grew up with Marine World, I've seen it go from a small park in redwood city to move to its current location and then the buy out, I think its an amazing story and I do like the park, not as good as DCA, I mean, DCA does have tower, but the park is getting better every year, and I was also comparing it to just SF in general, not just SFMW)

yes and Disneyland has some carnival rides too,so should we compare it to Marine World as well? its just ridiculous.
Disney parks have always been a mix of the generic and the extraordinarie...thats why you have carny rides like teacups and dumbo and more sophisticated atttractions like HM and Pirates...

WHO SAID I WAS COMPARING DISNEYLAND TO MARINE WORLD!!!!
you guys are claiming I said things that I didn't say, I simply said that the majority of DCA's rides are 'pimped' up versions of Six Flags rides, and honestly, what rides are 'extrodinary' at DCA, honestly?

Pirates as you put it, is a pimped up flume ride, as is Splash Mountain, what about Big Thunder Mountain?
You simply are looking at one side of an arguement and are not realizing the other side that Disneyland has many of the same types of rides in California Adventure.D'OH

You will not find attractions like Monsters Inc,Tower of Terror,Soarin',Tough 2 be a Bug,Turtle Talk etc at a Six Flag park.I went to Seaworld last march and that place is considered to be pretty nice, nicer than most six flags parks..anyways,even that park didnt come close to DCA,the rides there were so below par.DCA is a top notch theme park, its not as top notch as its older sister Disneyland, but its heads and shoulders about just about any other non-Disney amusement park out there.
