^^^ Cool- another darkride for DCA!
If it is half as good as Monsters MASTTR it should be another great addition to DCA!

And the characters are all themed around Toy Story, but minus Buzz himself. That was the latest I know from a few months back.

This could attraction could begin construction within the next 6-8 months if it gets approved. John Lassiter was up at WDI this past week reviewing this attraction and Incredibles.
NO a Movie based ride. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
darn it, i thought Disney was going to be original.
Well I guess its true Disney has run out of idea's.

They have not run out of ideas. But, the average Disney theme park guest now wants to see more and more of their favorite Disney characters in attractions. Midway Mayhem is themed to a movie because that's what people want. I say who cares? At least it's a good movie and they're not building something based on Valiant.

I think this sounds fantastic! I was thinking the Woody toys from Toy Story 2, (like the scene with the snake in a boot, the woody tooth knockout, and the record player), ideas like that would fit in this attraction perfectly.

Wonder if this also means a Woody attraction will not be coming to Frontierland? Which makes me very happy.

DCA needs this, especially the Pier!

Sounds exciting. I'd rather see something not based on a movie too, but Paradise Pier really needs it.

I don't think so look at some of the best rides Soaring, Big Thunder Mountain, Pirates, HM, Space Mountain, Matterhorn, subs, PM, Tiki Room, Jungle cruise, Grizzly river run, Screaming over CA. Plus I'm really getting sick of Pixars, Disney may own them but you know what its not Disney its Pixars making the films.

Yuck.

Too bad PP couldn't get an attraction that uses the same technology as Winnie the Pooh in Tokyo. Wouldn't mind some of that rehash.
I thought mediocre filler crap was going to be thing of the past for Disney?
A Toy Story ride using Buzz ride vehicles? Way to similar. Next Screamin' will get a Tinker Toy overlay. Pee-a-eeeeee-uuuuuu.

More Pixar characters? Will every new attraction for this Park be Pixarcentric? The concept for this ride sounds like it doesn't necessarily need them.

Personally, I'd prefer a quality Little Mermaid dark ride for this location over a Pixar fun house.

Thanks Marci! I knew you would have the rest of the scoop. Do you know how it will be themed into the Studio Back Lot?

My first thought concerns the type of attraction and the movie it's based on—too much like Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, IMO. My second thought concerns the screens. Is this a positive or negative?
