Like many others on the boards I also have been thinking up midway/funhouse darkrides for DCA for a while... Sounds like it could
work rather well. One thing that did worry me was the idea of using the same concepts as Buzz (shooting targets). Because that might make this new ride and buzz less special... After thinking about it though... My family and I go and see all the Fantasyland Dark Rides everytime. Even though they are using the same technology. But since they all tell a different story we go and see each one everytime... So I think this would be great. Although I'm a little worried about something else Pixarish... I think the good news it would mean no Woody in Frontierland! (as someone else said above) and that seems like good news to me! |

Sounds like a really cool idea but I think it would have seemed betetr to me if it was themed around something orignal like a sidshow or something. Thats one thing I actually like about that store by Maliboomer is the posters and stuff of sideshow freaks and i think it would be cool to ride a mideway game where you shoot and it's a sideshow and therees people like the sword swallower and bearded lady and stuff and you're riding on a bumper car that soon goes through a fun house full of mirrors and suprises. That would eb cool. This one doesn't sound bad but it wil be extremly weird seeing a cowboy toy next to a mermaid carousel in an ocean themed boardwalk area.

Dang and it sounds like Incredibles is gonna happen. I was so hoping for a Cars ride since to me Cars is so much more California I mean they could have an entire new land themed to the 1950/60's about California Car Culture and have a nice Cars attraction. but Incredibles does sound good also.

I like the idea of this Midway Madness,it fits the pier theme perfectly plus it adds some Disney to the area,I think its a perfect fit.
and I agree with RockinRollin,I wish the Cars E ticket was coming to DCA,its such a great match with DCAs theme. However Its probably inevitable that some type of Cars attraction will make it to DCA,its just too perfect to pass up. |

I agree with that about Cars. It will somehow make it and hey the Incredibles is unique and would give Pacific Wharf a much needed ride and add another D/E ticket to the park. This Miday Mania sounds like it would fit Paradise Pier perfectly and be a nice C/D ticket ride but I just thinbk seeing a toy cowboy in a sort fo ocean land would be weird unless of course it's all the toys and not focused around the cowboys toys. Whatever it sounds fun and I love the word mania in any ride cause it makes me think big colorful sets and explosions and the works.

I was thinking with the name and stuff for this attraction it doesn't really point to Toy Story so maybe the ride will be themed like a real life arcade/shotting midway game than you're in incorporating the familar characteras of Toy Story. I hope they do that instead making the main focus of the ride the characters

Even before Disney purchased Pixar the films were made FOR and UNDER Disney. They are popular Disney films, get over it.
